Day 298, 11:15 Published in USA USA by Ian John Locke IV

So just an update for those of you in Trenton who actually care about this mayoral race.

It seems like it will become a heated one.

So before I continue, let me amend my previous list of candidates for mayor of Trenton:
Heywood8614 (The Illuminati)
Meck2212 (Libertarian Party)
Aubra Elvie (incumbent) (United Constitutionalist Party)
chimichonga barbosa (United States Workers Party)*
and myself (America's Advancement Party)

So as I said before, Heywood was chosen by his party and didn't realize until I discussed it with him. He'll make a spirited try but doesn't expect much. If I weren't running myself and if I knew his platform I'd vote for him.

Meck2212 seems to have unrealistic expectations of office. He either thinks that office will pay him greatly, or he has much more money than some of us normal people could imagine. He plans to finance wellness, housing and a hospital with his own money, to some extent. He claims to be able to lower the cost of living. Well the cost of living consists of basically two things on this game:
Food and Housing.
Food is something everyone has to buy on their own and no one can change the prices, unless you're the company yourself. Now he might want to start his own food company and produce Q3 food (a facetious example, not in his platform) but he needs workers. Q3 has a certain pay expectation and without profits he can't pay himself and his workers and he cannot hold a separate job.
People save up for a house so that they can buy one, no one expects to be given one by the government. Also, the government cannot regulate housing costs. That would be anti-capitalist and more pro-socialist.

The best any government can do, which is already being done by President Immunogenic, and which (once I can evaluate Trenton's funds) could be possibly done by me as mayor would be gifts.

Aubra has not released a platform yet and so noone can analyze that.

Finally our newest competitor, chimichonga barbosa, who's been playing only a couple weeks less than I have, seems to think that once he announces his candidacy he will be able to boast a top newspaper having received subscribers (14 as of this moment, to be exact) before he even published a single article. Clearly 13 are people from the United States Workers Party and he felt that my previous article showing my ranking in the city of Trenton to be something of a standard.

Unfortunately, I know my subscribers are mostly Trentonians and some players from AAP who I know find my campaign and articles interesting. If anyone from Trenton not in the USWP subscribed to chimichonga's paper, I'd be interested to know why.

If you want my platform, you can read them in the older articles.

Just keeping you all informed and giving you food for thought.
