Political Peril- A potential disaster for the eIrish State.
Random Irish Guy
Hello again,
I am writing this article to point out a recent trend that can affect Ireland as we know it. Which crisis am I talking about I hear you ask? Taxes?, The Election?.
I am talking about the eBritish moving over here in noticeable numbers, with some of them being given automatic citizenship, now I have nothing against immigrants from other eNations, but in all fairness Britain aren't exactly a friendly neighbour, one would have to wonder why they didn't emigrate to the likes of Poland. In fact, one thing that has alarm bells ringing in my head is the fact that the Presidential Elections are less then 4 days away. Now I've been told that they can't form parties. and I have been told by Brian Boru that they are Political Refugees and British war vets.
Now I'm thinking surely the eUK isn't that corrupt, and even if it was they could join a PP to fight against any corruption that may be in place, and since another person said this I'm wondering what is in it for them for fighting for Ireland, a sworn enemy of their former country? , what could possibly influence people to betray their homeland like Chewy and Conway have?
Now I know additional military experience can be a good thing, but some of these lads have helped conquer Ireland and shouldn't be trusted, I mean they all move over here suddenly and some of them get CS , with our Presidential elections looming , all they have to do is vote for the pro-Treaty side and they'll have influenced Irish internal affairs which I think they should not be allowed to do, this reminds me of plantations in which the British government sent loyal subjects from the UK over to Ireland to spread British culture and loyalism and to help prevent rebellion. How does this remind you of something that drastic I hear you ask?, well it's simple, if they vote in the pro-Treaty side then they will be able to keep a government who is afraid to piss off the British government in power.
This needs to be nipped in the bud now! before it is too late.
Feel free to voice opinions, but if you either jump straight to insulting or anything of the likes I will not bother replying to you🙂
P.S a note for my critics, I am a nationalist first, a soldier second and a politician third, which means I love my country and I will both fight and use diplomacy to do what I feel is necessary for her, and if I must make enemies in order to do so, then so be it.
Any questions you want to ask me, feel free to PM me and I will do my best to get back to you.
Thanks for Reading,

"Now I'm thinking surely the eUK isn't that corrupt"
I suspect some might argue that point. It's also unlikely that more than four or five will be allowed in before the elections so they would have minimal effect even if they all voted for one candidate. I don't blame you for being concerned, but there have ongoing discussions about this and, if they are allowed in, we'll be watching carefully.
I suppose you're right.
It's understandable you have concerns, which is why we're trying to avoid a massive influx.
yup
Conways a traitor.
Lets burn him at the stake.
first 2 names that came into me head lol
I'm not a traitor ;_;
Yes you are. And you wouldn't defend yourself so much if you think you're right.
he is though fitzy..he is a massive traitor.
maybe so, but I don't think arguing in a newspaper comment is what I'd set out to achieve when I wrote this article.
The proof will be in the pudding - those immigrants may well be of assistance to Ireland. or....
it will become obvious to everyone.
I hope they will benefit Ireland
This is very important issue noone discuss about. Thanks for the article. I'm glad there's more of us who thinks the same.
BRITS OUT!
You're not in the Dáil, and for quite obvious good reasons if this is your opinion.
BRITS OUT (so they can reinvade and occupy us permanently)
Groups leaving their original country because they do not like the community they are in isn't that uncommon. We've had Canadian refugees come en mass for the same reason. In V1 players moving between Ireland/UK was common. eIreland has a Croatian contingent, and a good portion of our players are Americans IRL.
Obviously a group of British immigrants these days does raise an eyebrow. But you shouldn't assume they've come here to cause us trouble.
If you were forced to toil everyday in the British crumpet mines, you too might flee the tyranny of the English crown.
They're just seeking liberty in the glory that is our Republic. No scraping and bowing to inbred toffs here, oh no!
It was our offer of free potato cakes that clinched the deal
Free potato cakes?!?! No free rides in Ireland.
If they want potatoes, they can fish for'em like the rest of us!
I also said they'd be watched constantly.
Try not to pick and choose whatever the hell you want from what I say.
lol someone's getting rather hostile towards me now isn't he 😉 , and how exactly am I picking and choosing what you said? 🙂
Because you failed to mention a key thing that I said.
You're painting me as an unconditional supporter of the new immigrants when in fact I am not. You're doing that so that if they do turn out to be PTOers like you suspect, you can throw me in with their lot and damage me politically.
damage you politically? , I couldn't do that and I wouldn't do it . you're the one trying to damage me politically.
Also which did I leave out?
As State Prior, Cleric of The Word and grand molester of all of kunts i bless this article with a holy vote...
I also have reservations about a large influx of eUK citizens but there are a limited number of CSs that can be given out and they will all go through the vetting of the government as all immigrant do. Just because they come from a certain country does not make them bad people.
When I moved to eBolivia from the eUS I got the same thing. If you don't think the nations of South America have issues with the US you are wrong. Years of RL issues caused me to get comments of "gringo go home" and much, much worse. But after a while working for eBolivia I was considered an eBolivian and still get PMs asking me to come back and that was almost 4 years ago.
The numbers will be small and we can watch them for any mischief. I say give people a chance. IF they have bad intentions then we will soon know and can deal with it.
Don't think I am not nervous. I am but am willing to take a chance for the benefit they can and will give us.
fair point
