Poems of Patriotism

Day 634, 00:43 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Here are a few poems that I thought were very relevant to eAmerica's current state. Again like my article of quotes if you have any poems you would like to add, please feel free to do so. Dark days have come before always we as a people have weathered it, and come out stronger for it.

I Remember You
© By Anonymous

When I walk into my church,
free and without fear,
I remember you.

When I see children playing in the school yard,
girls and boys of all kinds,
I remember you.

When I see families working together,
regardless of religion or nationality,
I remember you.

When I go to sleep
without worry for my family's safety,
I remember you.

When I see our flag waving in front of my home,
and when I can salute that flag without fear of reprisal,
I remember you.

When I remember you,
I think of the sacrifices you made so I could have these things.
I think of your commitment and your service
beyond mere duty.
I think of all that you have given
so that I and those whom I love can be free.

When I pray at night and give thanks
for the blessings God has given,
I remember you.

Those fifty stars and thirteen stripes
Entranced my eyed and caressed that of night.

And through the day and dawn and eve,
It is that flag in which I will believe.

And grotesquely our spirits were shaken in fear,
On September 11th of the two-thousand first year.

Our history runs deep from our independence decree
To the emancipation of slaves, who were meant to be free.

It is the citizens and foreigners both rich and poor,
That are living in a country worth fighting for.

Where homes lie on corners and memories they hold
To the families inside of the hearth, young and old.

So read as I see and please look around
And respect thy person, thy state and thy town

And if you cannot, I have one thing to say::
I am proud to be born in the U. S. of A.

Those fifty stars and thirteen stripes
Entranced my eyed and caressed that of night.

And through the day and dawn and eve,
It is that flag in which I will believe.

And grotesquely our spirits were shaken in fear,
On September 11th of the two-thousand first year.

What does our flag mean to you?

Red, White, Blue
And the stars that shine true
Represent our nation's flag
'
Each color represents the U.S.A.
Each color is special in it's own way
Red is the war that made our country free
Blue is the color that stands for the sea
White is purity, which means you and me
The star is a symbol of the heavens
Thirteen of these represent our first colonies
But to show that our country has grown
In which it has been sown
Fifty stars on a field of blue
Represent the states that are so true
The thirteen stripes are our thirteen colonies
'
The flag is a symbol of our country
So let it fly and be free
Red, White, Blue
What does our flag mean to you?

A very big step

A Very Big Step

America resembles freedom
But does not resemble fear
We keep on getting stronger
Each and Every Year

We are staying strong in this war
While our troops do their tour
They continue to fight under the hot, bright sun
And they will not give up until they have won

We are trying to help the Middle-East
Trying to rebuild them piece by piece
They need to understand what we're there for
We did not intend to fight in a war

Our Lady Liberty will continue to cry
But all we can do, is try and try
What we have now is not what we have left
Just think of it as Americas Greatness, taking a very big step
