In order for the dictator to remain in power, a daily currency fee will be automatically deducted from the Country’s Treasury. If the payment can not be done, Democracy will be reinstated automatically and Dictatorship will be removed without any liberation war. The amount of money needed for the Daily Dictatorship Upkeep will be 50% of a Country’s Income, with a minimum value of 25 Gold at Monetary Market Exchange Rate.
In programming design one uses scenarios to run simulate typical user interaction for different classes of user.
SMALL COUNTRY SCENARIO
So
Ireland
In 7 days ireland only reached the 10000 required once when it received a 10000 cc donation.
It has a treasury of 1267 gold and 136000 cc So in 186 days the treasury will wipe itself out and democracy will reset if we dont move the money out of it else it else dictatorship cannot be maintained in any day.
At that stage we have an income of less than 25 gold a day or 10000 cc a day.
So if you read the update that means at that stage DEMOCRACY IS REINSTATED FOR FREE (PLATO YA DUMBASS) in small countries with an income less than 25 gold a day.
If Plato had a program designer he basically just forced us to abandon dictatorship and made it impossible to reinstate a dictator in a small country.
As sooner or later the funds will run out and the dictator will be removed.
BIG COUNTRY SCENARIO
Lets take 2 examples Serbia and the USA.
USA
First off the USA is the bread basket of the world at the moment and have I guess 90% of Holding Companies operating in it.
Its average income over a 7 day period is 70000 cc divided by 2 = 35000 a day deduction.
WAM income is 46000 meaning and work is 5800 Meaning
Work Taxes affects 74 % of the income
VAT is 14600 and affects 20% of the income
Import Taxes = 1900 and affects 2.7% of the income
So doubling taxes means double vat as well as double work taxes and income taxes.
Meaning the USA would have to
1. abandon dictatorship
in this sub scenario it would expose it self to thefts of the treasury. As the USA have a policy to appoint CP's dictator the one advantage they had of avoiding thefts is not applicable. Therefore there would be no effect in abandoning a dictatorship.
2. double taxes
in this scenario the income would be doubled but the rewards by comparison to a democratic system would remain the same. this would also raise worldwide commodity prices.
SERBIA
Has an average of 360000 or 360k cc income a day. Therefore under this module under a dictatorship they would lose 180000 cc a day.
Abandon dictatorship
Serbia has a split system. Currently the Dio'ist party has a dictator in charge, However the party under leadership of Backoovan has gained the majority and will likely win the CP elections. These 2 sides have been at loggerheads for years the one(Backoovan) accusing the other one of massive country theft. However Backoovan does not control enough damage so cannot oust a dictator.
As we state allegations is that the DIO'ist syphons of the money and sells it to pay for their daily rl expenses such as food water and electricity.
If one looks at their administration page daily money is donated to an org.
So theft is not really an option(if the allegations is true) and the dictator wont leave his seat(even if the allegations is not true the 2 sides hate each other and the one wont cede control to the other) Therefore dictatorship will continue in Serbia in all likelihood

Example: Citizen works as manager in a Holding located in Country A and has citizenship in Country B. He will pay 80% of country A’s Income Tax (to Country A) and 20% of Country B’s Income Tax (to Country B ).
The question therefore how much of their factories is situated in Serbia and how many abroad. Like I said factories is unprofitable in Serbia unless your run a commune and dont use wam clicks.
Doubling the taxes would mean they pay 13.40 cc per wam click
If 70% of their factories is in Serbia itself the drop in production would nullify the hike in taxes. However if say 90% is overseas then doubling the work taxes would effectively double their income.
Yet they will still only receive exactly what they are receiving today.

SO BASICALLY THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE A DICTATOR AFTER THE UPDATE IN PROGRAMMING TERMS. AND THIS IS A GAME BOUND BY THE LAWS OF PROGRAMMING DESIGN.
SUMMARY
The only scenario where the dictatorship would profit you would be if you sold the treasury on the black market and used the rl money gained to pay your BILLS. That is the only scenario where there is a cost v reward benefit for you as dictator or small group in GOVERNMENT.
Small countries will never be able to maintain the upkeep fee so in effect dictatorship is cancelled for small countries although it could be used to destroy their treasury but I think small countries can just counter this with small changes.
The most important thing in programming design is to implement an update that will suit most of the stakeholders in a program. This update works on retroactive feedback. It effectively kills of the dictatorship module. it makes it pound foolish to have a dictator.
There is no cost reward for a dictator but there is now a cost penalty.

No doubt Serbia would not listen to the clarion call from Bulgaria etc to attack the USA as it has a vested interest in the US economy.
DIO MAXIMUS have now indicated however if we bought this car from him in rl he would install a dictator in the USA
However nations like CHile, Brazil and Argentina might be stifled and killed off by rogue dictators.
On most levels the new update does not make much sense. A dictator would now only be installed to harm a country. So lets look at what nations keep their dictators. Because in that nations there is something seriously wrong.

Its simple, no nations will keep them, its just not viable and thus we go back to the old system of CP & congress, like it always should have been.
the only thing i really liked about the system was that cp could not steal money and congress could not ask for impeachment. but yes i concur as small country we can no longer remain in a dictator ship
You forget one thing. Plato is not stupid. Plato is one crafty sneaky little weasel trying to extract maximum money from this game.
Dictatorship was introduced as a black hole for damage and money. Plato expected these coups would be used by Serbia to PTO Croatia, Greece to PTO FYROM, et cetera. It was a pretty good move, but he worked it out poorly (next time hit me up Plato, I can close your loopholes). Everyone and their grandmother just installed a defensive dictatorship, making it a bit too annoying to attack through this route. Now, after all this time, he has bothered to create a change to make sure a defensive dictatorship is very unprofitable.
Basically, whatever you do, you're screwed. Case of USA: drop dictatorship, have mad money, get a hostile coup and say goodbye to your money (plenty of time to request orgs and steal everything until the free change to democracy happens). Case of Serbia: keep dictatorship, be poor, increase taxes, business moves abroad, making it actually more useful for them to not conquer strong economic regions.
This fix was as cunning as a fox who just got appointed as professor of cunning at the university of oxford.
yes as discussed economic warfare is now a possibility for counties with an income over 10000 not certain if fyrom has one though
FYROM is the richest country in erep if their tears would count for CC xdxd
both fyrom and greece can install hostile dictators in their opposing country. it would take a new citizen 40 gold and 63 days . but i think after a while the determination against you maxes out. check the old article by I-G-D to see how long and you would need to spend 1 million each time and had to remain lengthy times for this to cost your opponent more than 1 million.. but certainly it is a possibility. my guess this will just be a for lulz thing after the update except in countries where there is opposing parties in dictator and cp.

It's simple. They know the dictatorship module was a mistake. But they can't just remove it, because they have to remove the big medals also and those who are dictators right now. So they nerf the module to the ground.
or small countries will sell their dictatorship every week. we already have a medal hunter that will remove ours and that are going to pay an amount over the mil required. but yeah except for lulz and nefarious crap dictatorship is pretty much dead.

but the usa appoint the cp as dictator traditionally the cp is considered the owner of country treasury and all money by mods. so in the usa you dont actually protect yourself from a cp theft. for that you need a split system with a caretaker dictator and an democratic cp. if cp and dictator is the same a malicious player can still steal the treasury. but a cp cant steal in a split system as the money is considered the property of the dictator.

yeah tbh was never certain of that one. in other games people told me they would rent a flat with 5 friends and one laptop they would pay utitilities for a month and then play that game when it was released 24 hour a day. dont underestimate what ppl are capable of, turkish players often have a computer club where multiple players would play from. .
