Pierre Delvaux for Congress!

Day 1,463, 04:03 Published in Netherlands Switzerland by Pierre Delvaux

I cannot forsake my principles

"I turned and walked off the bridge. The thin, incredibly brave, piping music followed me in the light breeze as I walked on home in the lengthening sunlight".
James Jones
The Merry Month of May

Pavel Grimstov was a kind man, who'd had a hard life. After his parents perished in the first purge he was condemned to live in a half way house/orphanage, becoming a street sweeper on reaching adulthood. The Elites gave him a small, one room apartment, which he shared with a family of 12 from the Caucuses. Times were tough; there wasn't enough food to go around, and oftentimes solace could only be found at the bottom of a bottle. All that changed when he met Irina, an unemployed seamstress who'd move to Moscow from Kiev, after her family perished in the famine. It was love at first sight. After marriage, they found work gutting fish in a food processing factory, and fed smuggled out scraps to the stray cats who lived on their street. They were short on material wealth, but at least they had each other. All was well in the world for a time. Then disaster struck; Irina became seriously ill, and the Kremlin Hospital was the only one with the facilities needed to treat her. Irina wasn't sure, but Pavel insisted on taking her there: "Comrade Andropov received the best care; they are sure to cure you; we are citizens as well". They got the bus to the outskirts of the city, and approached the gates, only to be confronted by armed guards. After taking a cursory look at their papers, their leader shouted, "You cannot participate", and laughed as they returned to their posts. Pavel and Irina froze to death during the night, their cadavers dispensed of in unmarked paupers graves, whilst their 'betters 'continued to live in the lap of luxury, oddly congratulating themselves for their frugality all the same.

Does this scenario remind you of life for the majority in the eNL? If so, I'd like to ask for your support in the forthcoming Congress elections, where I am representing the most honourable Rote Armee Fraktion. If elected, I promise to fight for real change in the politico-administrative outlook of our eNation. I'll fight for equitable subsidy distribution, and, if that should prove unattainable, I'll start votes to dramatically reduce tax rates and shut down Establishment hobby horses. Perhaps the road of anarchy would be preferable to the oligarchical communism practiced by I&W and its cronies.

When you enter the voting booth tomorrow, there are some important questions to ask yourself:

Do you want more money in your pocket? Then VOTE DELVAUX

Do you want Congress to be treated with respect? Then VOTE DELVAUX

Do you want fair and equitable treatment for all your fellows? Then VOTE DELVAUX

Fight back against the extreme centralisers! Send a message to those who advocate taxation without inclusion and policy without philosophy! Mark your aspiration for an eNL which encourages positive immigration and an open society!

I am one of the most established Congresspeople, placing 7th in this month's evaluation. I know that my decision to run for a minority party puts my seat at risk, but that's the price of principle. Put your trust in me, and I won't let you down.

Sincerely,
Ambassador Pierre Delvaux
