I'm tired of being stuck at a job for up to 3 days trying to get fired. I believe companies should have the option of letting their workers leave whenever they want so that companies, military ones in particular, are more flexible. That still leaves those companies that want to keep their workers from jumping ship instantly or whatever reason this feature was implemented in good shape.

How about a 2nd choice 'apply button'? In addition to the regular button, have a 'military' button with automatic pay drop of X $. Exact amount of drop could be posted with name of company, giving applicant more choices.
