People's Zeteticist Party. Can it do what the Great Britain Party Couldn't?

Day 296, 08:15 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by CV James

So I come onto eRepublik today and discover that the Great Britain Party, of which I was a member is no more. In its place stands the somewhat mysterious People's Zeteticist Party. It's new leader, Chrissetti, to whom eUK Telegraph wishes to congratulate on becoming party president, after winning the elections yesterday with 6 votes, made the declaration in the early hours of this morning, September 11th, with a reformed party mission:

"Zetetic literally means to search for answers by direct investigation. Our party aims to fulfill this by experimenting with new thinking, new ideas and new methods for the the New World."

On the surface, the People's Zeteticist Party appears to have a normal sort of message; open government, full employment, laissez faire economics, but a look into the new leader and the new party shows an underlying belief in the "Flat World Society", or simply put, that the world is in fact flat.

Whilst I support the right to people of all beliefs to be free to stand for their views, it somewhat surprised me to say the least, that as the oldest member of the party and runner up in the party president elections I for one, along with numerous others were not consulted or even informed about the changes. However, that said, it has been claimed there was some form of party vote somewhere (though I cannot find it and was not informed about it). Furthermore, I do not wish it to be seen that I am a sore looser. I thank all those that voted for me, and I congratulate Chrissetti and wish the best of luck with his new party!

For the moment I intend to stay with the party and will offer my services to the new party president.

In other party president election news, nearly all the major parties have seen change at the top. Current eUK President, KIA Sneak announced he would not be seeking re-election for the PCP, and has been replaced by the up and coming politician, widdows9000. eUK's largest party, UKReform, is now run by Rayf Drayson who recieved 73 votes and beat the nearest two candidates, RonaldoChris and General G who both got 5. Meanwhile, The Unity Party was won by Hassan Pesaran who beat malta_1990 24 votes to 17 respectively.

Finally, Economy & Love union was renamed the Progressive Democrats by new leader Castellan Spandrell today, and the defunct Tory Party has been reformed at the unusual "Brotherhood of Mutants".

Once again, congratulations to all the new party presidents, but now it is time to start the new job and help develop eUK!
