Peek-a-boo! Can you spot all the changes?

Day 427, 17:29 Published in Romania China by Modelcon

Surprise! I'm in the EST Time zone, and when I came on to eRepublik, after encountering (the usual) server problems, I noticed some distinct changes in the way we use eRepublik. Can you spot them all?

1) After checking out the Japanese media (the first thing I do every day), I noticed something weird. The comment I posted a few days ago, which was the first comment on the article, moved down to last. eRepublik has adopted the Youtube model of commenting, where the first comments are moved to the last place, and new comments pop up at the top. There are numerous advantages to this, such as the renewal of info, but I personally prefer the old method, where comments are chronological. That way, you can follow comments more naturally scrolling down, and also bask in the glory of having the first comment. I may be sounding crazy. Perhaps I had too much soy milk today.

2) We are now introduced to Forfeit Points. Check it out on your profile, right beside your national rank. Apparently, it's out 5, and you lose points by doing "bad things". You can lose a point every two months. Frankly, as a law abiding citizen, I do not fear these so-called "Forfeit Points." As long as you're being respectful on eRepublik, you should not be fearful. Go to the link provided for more details.

3) Flash! Farewell, and bon voyage to that beloved decoder. We are now not able to use the decoder to solve our trivia questions, undoubtedly reducing productivity, battle damage and wellness (due to inability to answer 5/5 questions.) It's an unfortunate step for citizens everywhere, but I guess this is done in the name of fairness. But do not lose hope! The legions of citizens will no doubt be able to provide some sort of replacement.

4) More glitches! eRepublik works every 5 mins for me. I was not able to train today because eRepublik failed when I was loading the Flash. I also noticed how everyone's avatar disappeared for a while. Hope they're fixed soon.

And now for a personal message. Why do we play this? Why do we spend our time here in such a glitchy game, where cheaters exploit flaws to generate insane amounts of gold, where our game work half the time, where major changes are always afoot and where the threat of being permanently banned. Now there's also the rumour of the nuclear bomb of a reset? I guess it's nice interacting with everyone here, with the wealth and empire you've built basically from scratch. Owning a company and a paper, I'm glad to run things by my self, but unless things are fixed and stable soon, I'm having second thoughts devoting myself to this "game." The admins need to get their act together, even though this is not easy to run. Please subscribe, and also post up any other changes you've found!

May the glorious motherland triumph!
