PCP Update - Stepping Down

Day 446, 01:43 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Stan Wephen

It's been a good four months leading the People's Communist Party, however now I believe is the right time for me to step down. I've seen the worst of the party, but far more times I've seen the best. Never have I regretted joining the PCP, and it's been an absolute honour to have so much faith put in me.

I am giving up my position for several reasons, the most important being RL committments (which is starting to sound like a cliche for politicians to disappear from the limelight). I am joining a real political party and am aiming to be as heavily involved in RL politics as I was in eRepublik - who knows, you may see me as a Party leader in the UK in the future!

The PCP will be left in the capable hands of Bob Boblo and Hassan Pesaran, until the Party Presidential Elections on the 15th. I have full faith in both of these people to keep the party running as well and perhaps better than I have.

So, finally, it's time to say goodbye eRepublik. It's been great, 8 months apparently. I have every anticipation of coming back in a few months, but until then, consider this retirement.
