Party Elections!

Day 1,786, 08:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Seranok
So after the general elections, we have our own Party Elections! This is an important time each month as this will decide how the next term in our parties will pan out. Several people make themselves a candidate for the next hustlings and bustlings but there is only one winner.

I am one person to enter in these elections for our next Party Leader. I stand for the position of PP in the UKRP (UK Reform Party). I am basing this article for those readers from the UKRP to see why they should vote for me. I sound like a child in school elections, getting votes by bribing people with cup cakes.

Say I was to win, what do I want to achieve?

Whatever I could fit in that term. Say I was elected, the very first thing I would do is talk to all the members. I can't, no one,can work as a one man show. My first idea however is to elaborate on our current ideas and policies. If we're fifth in the national ranks, how could we become fourth? Third? Why aren't we already in those positions. Quite simply, we need to reform all of our ideas - what are excellent as they are, what could be scrapped, improved upon etc. I wouldn't like to scrap any ideas though, that would be someones work gone.

This would be my first main political position, should I be trusted? Depends, maybe old policies are the answer sometimes. Maybe our older players are indeed our answer. But I am quite new, just over a year old playing erepublik and I have been interested in how things work here on the word 'go'. I have also noticed in recent days a drop in numbers in our party, this is something we need to act on. We need to appeal to those members that have recently joined and have not yet got a Party to stand by. We need to make them think that UKRP is the answer.

I sound desperate for this position, but I'm reall not. Chances are, I wont win these PP elections but it will be something to help me with my political experience - something I will look back on the next time I make myself a candidate.

Good luck for those of you that are also a candidate for any party. Stay strong eUK!
