POLITICAL PARTIES

Parties are the foundation of the political system within eRepublik. It's the place where any political carrier starts. Citizens can join any party in their country, and with the time they may even get promoted and get a role inside the party, or even better, a role inside the congress or government. By being pary members citizen can run to the congressional elections, to the party presidency and if the party supports them they may even run for country presidency. Citizens shall keep in mind that each party has a different position on the various topics.

It is also possible to create a party. In order to do so citizens must be level 16 or above, and former party members. The fee of creating a new party is 40 Gold. When creating a party the founder automatically becomes the party president. The founder is asked to choose a name for the party, a logo, write a short description and choose the party's economical and social orientation.

Roles inside the party:

• Party President - The leader of the party. The party president is chosen at the 15th of each month by the party members. The party president can edit the party details, assign party members to the various roles, manage the congressional list and select the member who will represent the party in the presidential elections.

• Vice President - The right hand of the party president. The person in this role is chosen by the party president. The vice president usually acts as a consultant. In situations when the party president is absent, the vice takes control of the party.

• Secretary General - A person who deals with matters of administration of the party. The person in this role is chosen by the party president. The secretary general coordinates meetings, handling with date and is responsible for organization of the party and its members.

• Councillor - A person who is chosen by the party president. An experienced citizen and a part of the party cabinet. The person who fills this position takes part in the party decisions making. In some parties he represents the party members in the party's meetings.

• Spokesman - A person who is chosen by the party president whose job is to represent the party and speak in behalf of its members. The person in this position needs to share the positions of the party and inform the citizens and the party members in the actions the party's cabinet has done.
