Pander Sols for congress

Day 581, 12:25 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by psandrad

Dear All,

As most of you probably don't know me yet, I thought I'd introduce myself properly to all fellow citizens.

My name is Pander Sols and I am 26 years old. I started playing only a couple of weeks ago, although I was already familiar with eRepublik through a Romanian contact of mine. From the moment I first entered this fascinating world I've been completely addicted, I just cannot get enough of the interesting dynamics that make and drive eRepublik forward and I am planning on staying for a very long time!

Now, why would a 'green-as-grass' newby try to run for congress right away? It's definately a valid question and I can understand why some people would find me way too inexperienced to play a role of importance so early on in my e-life. On the other hand, a vote for me means a vote for someone who takes his business very seriously, is very active in eRepublik and has an unbiased view on state-business (yes, although I am member of GLD, I am not narrowminded and I am open for other peoples views, critics and ideas).

The main issue I want to fight for is the improvement of economic conditions in the Netherlands according to GLD's priority list: 'Local Jobs in a strong Local Economy', especially in those areas that have been somewhat neglected until now. First of all, we need to have several hospitals in the Netherlands regions that not yet have one. Hospitals are the basis for a strong economy, because it's only in those regions that have one where people can go to the wargames, get their wellness back in the evening and go to work in the morning, strong and revitalised. That way their employer benefits of them the most, makes more money and can pay higher wages.

In such an economic climate it will also become more interesting to start a company, especially when I as a member of congress get the opportunity to increase import taxes. That way, the murdurous competition of foreign companies will become weaker and Dutch companies will prosper.

In short, me as a congressman and GLD in general seek to create the conditions in which local companies can do well, our citizens can make a good living for themselves and where people are being encouraged to improve in creative and productive ways.

Thank you for your time, and best regards,

Pander Sols.
