PANAM's languages/ Les langues de PANAM
Morrin
This is a response to this article.
It is deplorable to say that, upon reading the article, I have learned that French, one of the official languages of Canada, will not be implemented as an official language of PANAM, but American, Brazilian, and Argentinean will? What is this blasphemy? Has Canada as a nation decided to let the others trample over us?
Though I do recognize America as a great ally, they have just insulted our country but not putting one of our languages in. They could at least have put in Canadian as a language. Now, our Quebec brothers will be forced to translate every article and feel worthless as if their opinion doesn't count!
I have been here a few years ago, when Quebec wanted to separate for a number of reasons, one of those being that they have been maltreated as a minority and that French, though an official language, wasn't being used.
Of the noble countries in the Americas chosen for the magnificent duty, only Canada has not been recognized and shown respect. While the charter is being ratified, we must have our congress to push for Canadian or Quebecois to be an official language of the Panam.
Breaking Barriers,
Building a Future.

canadian american, brazilian and argentinian aren't languages

chewy- thats the point. PANAM is showing Europe that we are so different, that we do not share the same languages, though we do.
still the article drawed up alot of critism because of the fact that Instead of writing English and Spanish they wrote American Brazilian and Argentinean even though there not real languages
I love it when noobs have opinions on stuff they don't understand
"Has Canada as a nation decided to let the others trample over us?"
As an anglo in canada that has already been trampled on, I have no sympathy for your rallying cry of guilt.
I support PANAM and will happily translate myself any article I don't understand...without resent.
looks like the French are going to need to learn American, it's about time!
Woohoo let the french language be trampled. I 100% support us leaving our french citizens hanging out to dry.
French is nothing more than a cult that bred itself into our midst.I would like to be the first congressmen to suggest we implement. "Prima Nocta".
This is the biggest thing you can find wrong with the whole PANAM idea? I don't know how to speak American, Argentinian or Brazilian.
This language issue is getting awfully old IRL and doesn't need to be brought into Erep. You clearly are able to speak English yourself quite fluently and why should that be a problem. I find it cowardly and dumb to reject PanAm over a language issue, and I'm sure that others would agree.

HARD VOTADO !

I repaet we must implemant "Prima Nocta" now before its to late and the french Quebec plague spreads.
The french speaking populous of eCanada can translate any non-french articles from the alliance just like the anglos will have to translate any non-english articles. Welcome to elife, you don't always get your way.
This is not the only reason that I'm leaning towards a vote against PANAM but it is one of the reasons. I don't speak French and probably never will, but a very significant portion of the eCanadian citizenry does. I respect this and stand beside my francophone brothers.
As for those that do not support our eCanadian brethren I say, Va pèter dans le trèfle.
You might get what you want if France goes along with PANAM. I suppose it would still be insulting to have French added for that reason, instead of out of recognition for eCanada's two official languages. It's about the principle rather than statistics, right?
look at Kirk the big ass kiss over there. Sucking up to frgs will get you no where.
Just because you don’t understand something Rylde, is no reason to fear it.
Good point Plugson, I agree
In this case George, it's the understanding that leads to the fear.
Morrin, I suggest that we should take some of those fine British Colombian weeds and take a chill.
Everyone wins.
Chill and have some hot brazillian babes
