Mr. Inwegen, good evening, and thank you so much for talking with us (I and the readers) today. I'd like to actually open up by asking you about a representative's point of view in certain issues about this thing we call politics, which is such a prominent notion in the current affairs in both the Congress, in the Executive branch and even affects our eUS relations. Therefore, if I may, we shall begin.


How would you describe yourself?

Most people see me as a real hard ass and I tend to agree. I know what I stand for and I don't budge from those positions. But, I can be a nice guy too. I enjoy hanging out with a lot of people on IRC and just having fun with them.

I've done a lot in the eUS, 4x Washington State Congressman, 3.5x Secretary of State, 2.5x Chief of Staff, Short term Secretary of Defense (RL started to kick my ass), Advisor for many terms, was Chief Advisor to a few presidents as well (handle more business than just advising).

I get called a politico a lot. I do admit that playing the political game is my primary interest. I'm also helping re-establish North Korea and I'm a Division Commander for Seal Team 6.

What are your long range and short range goals and objectives?

My long range goals are to keep both the US and North Korea in the best position possible. I'm a long time US player and am helping NK start up with Harrison Richardson and the Chinese.
I'm also working on the restart of Propaganda Now! media and podcasting alongside Kyle321n, Geno Garon, Nascent, and PrincessMedyPi. We want to have an international news organization that includes both articles and podcasting.

What specific goals other than those related to your occupation, have you established for yourself for the next few months?

I would prefer not to get burned out and to stay involved in the game somehow. After doing so many things it's hard to stay motivated to be involved.

What do you see yourself doing five months from now? Ten months from now?

It really depends how v2 ends up affecting the general game population. If it turns out to be impossible to effectively direct people in times of war, it's going to be extremely difficult to stay motivated enough to keep playing. Ideally, I'd like to still be involved in international politics.

What do you really want to do in life?

Have fun. If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong.

How do you plan to achieve your political career goals?

Well, to be honest, I've achieved everything I ever wanted to achieve. I've never wanted to be a country president. There have been plenty of times that I have been acting POTUS due to chain of command and that was plenty. Its a really tough job and, while fun at times, is really draining.

What are the most important rewards you expect in your political career?

The reward of hanging out with some cool people and doing good work has been reward enough.

Why did you choose this political career?

Everything just kinda fell into place. I got offered to be Secretary of State under Uncle Sam around the same time I was starting my role in congress. The long-term dominance of USWP in politics over a year ago greatly contributed to my presence during that era. We had the power and we weren't afraid to wield it.

How well do you work with people? Do you prefer working alone or in teams?

I work well with people who know where they stand on every issue. Many people in this game flop around on issues or parties just to get up the political ladder. Its quite sad that we have so many title chasers that go with whats popular at the time just to move up the ladder. The people I usually work with are very rigid on where they stand in eRep issues and it makes it very easy to work in a team.

How would you evaluate your ability to deal with conflict?

I can handle it quite well. There have been a number of international and foreign affairs type situations that have been quite stressful, but our team handled it swiftly and appropriately.

Have you ever had difficulty with a fellow politician? How did you resolve the conflict?


I've had difficulty with a number of politicians. I'm pretty well known for being a hard ass and going off on people. Its who I am and much of it comes from my disgust with the title chasers I mentioned in question 9. I really don't enjoy working with these people because they are in it for their own personal gain. Much of my reputation came from my time in congress and going off on the frequent stupidity that occurred. I'm much happier that I served in congress over a year ago. I browse through the current congressional boards and can barely get through them because of the ridiculous state of affairs there.

Some people argue their poor behavior is because all they have to debate about is basic in-game stuff, budget, and procedure. While I do admit that it isn't the most exciting thing to discuss, they have never proven an ability to maturely discuss these issues without a ton of drama, so I see no way, in good faith, we can entrust them with more responsibility.

What's more important to you -- the work itself or how much you're paid for doing it?

Well, considering I've never been paid for doing what I've done, I'm in it for the work myself and others have done.

What do you consider to be your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

My greatest strength and greatest weakness are the same. I am fiercely loyal to the people I consider my friends in game and the causes I stand for. While this is really good when things are going well, if large amounts of drama occur I can become really brash and rough with others. My good friend and Seal Team 6 Commander Speedcat McNasty says I'm like a bulldog, very loyal to people I like and when you get in my face I bite hard.

How would a good friend describe you?

Just like I said above in the previous question.

Describe the best eUS job you've ever had.

Senior Counsellor to the President. I held this position under Harrison Richardson's second term and Chocolate McSkittles. I was able to interact with our friends and Bros abroad consistently, regarding high-level, often classified affairs.This role was very flexible and allowed these presidents to ask me to do anything they needed. It was fun to do a lot of different things, but very stressful and time intensive.

What motivates you to go the extra mile on an eUS project or job?

I've put a lot of time into the game, and I want to continue to see the success of ourselves and our friends abroad. Once you've put a lot of real life time into something, it's difficult to move on and hope that things go well in the future without you because you want to continue to mould the future leaders of the game. It has been somewhat proven that we (the older generation) need to continue to be somewhat involved to be aware of what are the leading issues at the time in order to mentor the younger generation.
I understand that many players want to let fresh blood into leadership roles, and I agree 100%. However, this can�t be an instant process, and us older players aren’t all that bad either. 😉

you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?

I'm a university student studying Political Science. I plan on doing nothing with it. I'm going into event management. (Managing a conference or events center in a metropolis is the ultimate goal.) I enjoy going to clubs (I manage two friends who are top tier DJs in town), music, photography, and cars.

What are the attributes of a good leader?

The ability to remain as low stress and calm in tense situations, the ability to communicate clearly with others, and most importantly, the ability to delegate. Since I've been mostly involved with the Executive Branch, I've seen how important it is to delegate work to the various members of your cabinet. There is so much going on day in and day out there is no way a president can do everything and must delegate to be successful.

Describe the workload in your current (or most recent) job.

I'm currently the Director of the Office of Militia Support. I distribute the money congress gives to militias and make sure they are spending it appropriately. I oversee the militias and make sure they are fighting in important battles and are managing themselves effectively. We are giving them government funds in good faith that they are being used effectively and in conjunction with our international interests.

Which is more important: creativity or efficiency? Why?

Primarily efficiency. While I like to find new, creative solutions to make things more effective, there is sometimes wasted effort in finding new ways to do things. While I understand the need to explore creative methods, I much prefer to continue with what is efficient until a new solution is warranted. In my opinion society (in-game and IRL) attempts to recreate the wheel too often and the result is not an improvement over what we previously had.

Society is strongly ground in Chronological Snobbery (C.S. Lewis) and believes that everything that is new is also automatically better than the previous version. While better internet and computers is fine and dandy, the level of interaction with people in real life is clearly dwindling. I mean look at all of us, we're sitting in front of computers and interacting with people we cannot see and have never met. Watch the movie Surrogates and you'll get a pretty good picture of some of what I'm getting at.

What's the most recent book you've read?

The Last Patriot by Brad Thor. I'm really into government intelligence novels and crime novels. A couple of my favorite books are Intensity and Velocity both by Dean Koontz. Great crime thrillers.
