Oraizan O' History

Day 614, 22:41 Published in Japan Denmark by Oraizan

Article two for presidency, vote Oraizan for president on August fifth!

Party Changes
At first I was not very active. No, I was online everyday... clicking twice. In the beginning I thought that this game was simple; work, train, improve. I did not see this side to eRepublik, but I am glad that I found it!

Once I reached level 7 and the website told me I could join a party, I was confused. What the heck is a party? Well, I soon found out. I joined the NAP first, and enjoyed my stay there. Soon after I found the party to be lonely, and changed to TFC. Yes, I was in TFC for somewhere around a month. After that I also got bored, there was nothing to do in TFC at the time and it seemed that the higher leveled members did not respect new playets, so I left.

I found the Orange Party. Geno was amazing, always honestly blunt and straight out. I decided that I wanted to see his dream for the Orange Party become accomplished. That is where I am today.

Early Articles

For any references during this section see my newspaper http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Citizen_Oraizan#Newspaper

Now that I have bored you with my changes, I will move onto politics. I initially started driven on the idea of having more active people; 'First article'

I wanted to report on random things, anything that people would actually read. My second article with actual content was on an international event (that I took part in Canada) called Earth Hour. It was more like a story of what I saw outside during that time, nothing political. My third article however...

Right after that I started considering politics. I started getting into eRepublik right after a presidential election, so I was very excited to get to choose somebody this time. My third article is when I declared that I wanted to help Geno with the Orange party. Quote: Geno is a very straight forward person, and I would love to see his dream come true. Then Hizumi came along...

Hizumi started to push for an Emperor, and I tried to push people into discussing it so that it could end. It was an interesting time, and I have to admit arguing with Hizumi was a lot of fun. His character is now dead, and he is gone.

Around the same time as Hizumi popping up, Angrr and Kokawa were running against Akki for president. I was a little dissatisfied with Akki's politics. He was in-active, said nothing, I never saw him! Why would I want this as my President? Well, I supported Angrr based on the fact that he was here, and always had Japan's interests at heart. In the end, I voted for Kokawa.

I saved my vote for some strange reason, I just felt compelled. In-turn, Angrr posted some very interesting articles that made my image of him change. Though a good friend, it was too much. In previous times I had asked him if he would serve Japan no matter what the outcome, he said yes. Around the time Akki was winning votes, that answer changed. This changed my whole view on Japan's politics. A friend of mine lied, not directly to hurt my feelings, but a lie none-the-less. Something I promised I would never do.

After Akki's fourth victory, people began to want him impeached. I agreed for the reason of in-activity, but I pressed to actually get to know the Akki that citizens really looked up to. Well around this time I did, and you can guess what happens next.

Angrr left Japan because of Akki's victory. This was my first moment of weakness in politics. I wanted to run for congress, but Hizumi and Angrr issues in the past left me torn on what to do. Inevitably, I ran. One of the comments on my article had said Quote: One day you would make a great president. It is a little funny looking back on it now. How much I worried over whether I really should run or not, and how annoyed the other people must have been at my questions.

Then Empress Day hit. A joke between many of the people that frequented IRC became something much bigger. It was intended to make people laugh, but unfortunately at that time Japan was all 'SRS BSNS'. (See article 14-resignation on my wiki)

After all the people complaining, acting silly, and the end to the fighting, I ran for Congress. I have to admit, my hopes were very low at the time. People voiced their opinions against me constantly because of the Empress issue. None-the-less, I ran my campaign loud and confident. What a shocking election that was.

I openly admitted my first term that I was inexperienced, and had hoped to learn as much as I can. I made no promise to help Japan, no will to make it grow, just that I wanted to learn and eventually be able to do great things. Well, Japan gave me the chance and I won top votes with 18, second place had 9 votes. It was definitely a happy day for me.

I started off by introducing holidays, Empress Day. I moved to have it done, and it was a huge success it's first time! Our Empress being Haruhi, and many articles devoted to the occaison.

This may get boring, my second term running I also won top votes (with 53 votes!!). I started off by explaining what I did over the first term, what I had learned. I continued my normal work. This was around the time that I had taken part in re-organizing the army sign-up, working on ambassadors, and ironing out Empress Day issues from the survey that I had taken. It seems I had to actually say little again though, because Japan elected me with a huge majority.

The next month I had some health issues and was unable to be AS active as usual. I still gave Japan all I had, and ran yet again for congress winning 31 votes.

This brings us to July, the month that is currently ending, and the last month I hope to run for congress because I am running for presidency. My articles and my work that I accomplished up until now have been changed and drastically improved.

Months ago when the 'Council of Zen' arrived, they helped me become a better candidate. It is sad they are not here anymore.

In the beginning I fought and opposed against anybody I did not agree with. I was emotional and intent on being heard. Well, I am not that way anymore. Over the time working for Japan and facing all the problems I have achieved an over-all calm. No longer do I get angry, irrational, emotional. This is one of the things that I believe will help Japan.

Strong leader
Japan needs a strong leader, somebody who can be very adamant about politics and push to get things done in an appropriate time-frame. In my past I would have thought being President meant being liked, popular, active, and strong willed. Now I believe those are only extra.

Japan needs somebody who can push to get things done. Push for the Army to be functional. Push to have debates and voting in the forum. Create proposals.

Throughout my boring O' history I wanted to show you my growth as a politician here in Japan. Show you that I am much more capable then in my past. Lavanche from Finland once called me very stubborn and told me that it was the quality I lacked as a president, I promised to change that.

I will end this article for now (wow, it is long!) but I hope that you have learnt something knew about Japan, and one of your presidential candidates.

Relevant quote
Develop the mind of equilibrium.
You will always be getting praise and blame,
but do not let either affect the poise of the min😛
follow the calmness, the absence of pride.

We shall find peace. We shall hear angels. We shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds. We are about to turn a corner,
Always for Japan,
Oraizan~
