Really!
By telling someone to vote in another party you forfeit all claim to authority in your own.
These government people think that they own your vote and own you.
Sorry, nobody owns your vote except you!
Let us see what happened in the Top 5 parties today:
AFA 584 votes 703 members 83%
Feds 174 votes 570 members 31%
USWP 137 votes 379 members 36%
WTP 172 votes 374 members 50%
AMP 133 votes 345 members 39%

Note that the membership figures are skewed by the large number of normally Federalist members invading the AFA, along with a smaller number from the USWP and assorted other intrusions. Also note the high percentage voting figure in the AFA, normally indicative of election shenanigans.
I have said countless times that there is an unshakeable core vote for the AFA that will ensure that they can maintain Top 5 status, wherever they are. Why bother harassing them and giving them all that free publicity?
At the same time, the party bosses and the government take their party members totally for granted. They pretend to make “rules” that restrict candidacy for party president elections.
BY now you all know that this is kibosh. All that the back-room boys and girls are doing is maintaining their own position and perks at the expense of the rest of us. No wonder that they rage when anyone challenges them, as I have.
What was my mission on election day? It was to show people that you can stand if you want to, no matter what they say. It was a shot across their bows in preparation for a full campaign next month. Most of all, it was an attempt to get people to stay in my party to vote for our own leadership, rather than interfering with anyone else’s party.
The result – mission accomplished! The WTP had the highest voter participation, at 50%, of any of the non-AFA top 5 parties. Congratulations are in order to those voters, as well as the winner. You stood up for your own party, regardless of any imaginary threat posed by me!
A comment on my last article asked if I realized that I might be opening a Pandora’s Box by challenging the system like this. I certainly hope so!
The government must be attacked on every front. It has proved useless against invasion and useless in supporting those who fight for the country. Leadership has evaporated in every respect except clinging to power. We are coming for them.
When a government becomes so arrogant that its official mouthpiece chooses to insult a critic rather than engage in debate, it is living on borrowed time.
Finally, a message for those who don’t like people gate-crashing their sandbox:
Some people can’t tell the difference between a party and a club. The ruling group does not own the party. Its members own it. Pretending to restrict who can run for party leadership removes accountability of the leadership.
Telling someone to make their own party is not the answer, given that new citizens are deceived into joining a top 5 party and all power resides in the top 5 parties.
Rules formulated outside of eRepublik do not apply in-game.
When the power base of the regime is founded on control by parties in the top 5, it is legitimate to oppose that power base and take it from the hands of those who are misusing it.

I believe the monthly harassment of RGR/AFA necessary. Some cockroaches get the message after you whack them enough. Of course some don't. When (not if) Serbian PTO support melts away from RGR the in-game can function again without a possible RGR CP term (RGR dreams being CP is like being Henry VIII).
A waning top 5 would constitute a national emergency.
Asking Wingfield to leave you alone and start another party is wrong on many levels.
I guess I will get to see firsthand how this plays out, now that AFA hast been taken over.

Let me tell you a little story. For a long time, the Federalist Party was actually a sixth party. Through hard work, recruitment, and retention we grew into what we are now: the number one party in the eUSA. If you would stop being a kitchen talker and actually do some work you might be able to work the Team America Party or United Republic Party into the Top 5 since it seems they have more in common with you than the WTP.
You forget that I was the recruitment director when the Feds grew from 9th to 5th. Then again, you weren't around then and you did not see the Feds jettison the very principles that had taken them into the Top 5. Now parties that try to grow get picked off. Oh, and you just said one of the standard regime put-downs so bang goes your credibility.
Ok, what principles did we jettison?
Your limited viewpoint on the subject ignores a few key points.
a) The Top 5 are the top 5 for a reason. We have the most number of active players. While it's great that you have your own opinion, the fact that you don't agree with how the vast majority of the country chooses to play the game is irrelevant. I would say your options here are kinda limited. You can recruit more players who share your views, become the majority, and shape the way the game is played. You can take your minority faction to another eCountry, where you might fit in better. Or you can find a different game that's played the way you want it to be played.
b) No matter how much you rail about how "meta-game isn't the game", the fact remains....it's how the game is played. Because you don't like it is no reason that the rest of the game should or would conform to your wishes. If you don't like it, become part of the solution. Contrary to what you might believe, no one wants to shut you out of the meta game, because we want to hold on to some imaginary cabal of power. I only came back to erep a short 3 months ago after a 3 year hiatus. I didn't find myself shut out of anything. On the contrary, my party has given me every opportunity to prove myself, and I've been welcomed into congress and Fed leadership with open arms. You don't have to be a "trrbl elitist" to find yourself in a position of power - you only need to prove that you're an active, productive, loyal eAmerican. Do the work, get noticed for it, and then work on shaping the game from the inside. The only ones who are shut out of the process are the ones who are actively working with our enemies to bring down the country.
c) I fail to see how shouts and articles asking people to join the ATO efforts are the parties "owning people's votes". No one can "make" anyone vote a certain way. There's no way to check who voted for who. People do it because they can see the threat that exists. And sgain, those people are the majority
