ONE YEAR AGO TODAY

Hello all,

It's been a while now since you've heard from me via my paper, it's partly because of my lack of time, but mostly it's just because I'm too lazy to write. 😛
Anyway, this time I had to write "a word or two" and the reason for this is a little jubilee I'm celebrating today. I warn you, this I think, will be a long article.





As you can see, today June 15th, marks the period of one year since I first came to eBelgium. So by reading these lines, I want to walk you through my story in eBelgium in this past year.

First of all, I have to say that before I came here I didn't know much about the eBelgian community apart from some contacts I had with certain eBelgian players.
I did, however, know a lot of RL stuff about Belgium and most of it were stuff I liked, like the fact that fries (one of my fave dishes) originated from Belgium. Also, I know about the rich tradition of beer brewing. I've tried some Belgian beers, I like the strong ales like Barbãr Bok and the Chimay Trappist beers. One of my favorite architects Victor Horta, is Belgian and my fave Belgian band is Vive la Fête. I'm a massive football fan, Liverpool FC as you can imagine, but I know the Red Devils very well too. I think Belgium has a very very good side with some exciting talent and I think they're gonna have a very good result in Brasil, I will be cheering for them:



I could go on, but these were enough RL reasons for me to come to eBelgium and get to know the eBelgian community better. And it turned out, it was not a bad decision because I've been accepted well and I had a wonderful time here.



My CS was accepted without approval at first, but I didn't want to be considered a PTO-er and I immediately started to expand my friends network, to work on my rep and to basically start establishing myself as a valuable player for the community. I have to mention Elynea, Maresal Lengas and Beaverss Tribute to Raskol as the first people that put their trust in me in the beginning, they helped me a lot... big thanks to them. I joined The Reformist Movement party (now, The Belgian Dream) right away and my first political assignment was eBelgian Ambassador in eMacedonia, eBulgaria & eSerbia in July and August. After that I got elected in the eBelgian Congress in August and I've since been member of it in every term when we had a Congress, a total of six terms. I've been the Party President of TBD four times, bringing the best Congress elections success for TBD in my very first PP term in September, an achievement I'm very proud of:



When I first came I was already a member of the Dark Side Wolves MU, but in August I joined the Belgian National Army and I've been a member of it ever since, well, with a short break in November and December when I was the only member besides tommot in the Olympus Belgica, the reason for that was my wish to get some decorations on my profile (I couldn't get any in BNA at that time, since it had the best eBE fighters/tankers). In February I became the BNA Commander, a position I still hold. This event coincides with the earlier period of decline of the BNA, state funding for supplies was put on hold and many fighters left it. This is one of the things I'm very disappointed of, but, c'est la vie.
The peak of my political career so far in eBelgium was being appointed the Minister of Defense in April in the Jofroi cabinet, having been the vMoD the previous month. In my term as MoD we had a big war with Moldova Air-striking us, but it was an interesting time and I think I did my best together with Jofroi, Mr.Wonka, The Valeyard and the rest of the Govt. and our allies to handle the situation.
At the present time, I'm a little preoccupied with RL stuff and I'm not very active in politics, but I follow everything that is happening in our community.

I want to mention some players now, besides the ones mentioned above, that have made my time here fun, interesting and worthwhile, thank you all. El1teBE, DarkoDimovski1, MaryamQ, Tony Clifford, HK416, Kaad, Bobby Teuchan, Critically, NLSP, MCKitKat, Chihiroh, Cotarius, Director9, JdlF, BrunoCND, SX80, Boklevski, Tensa Zangetsu san, BelgiumGeneral, Olv007, TomasRed, boer jan, Thanatos TM, Cika Nikola96, Trito Fisher etc. on one hand and G.W.Junior, ChristijanXD and the likes of them on the other. 😃

At the very end of this article, I'd like to say that I've enjoyed my stay this past year here in eBelgium. It has been a pleasure and an honor getting to know everyone, getting to experience and get deeply involved in the eBE community for which I hope I've made a small contribution.

P.S. I have one very close and special friend of mine that is in eBE at the moment, a friendship lasting long before I even thought about coming here. There is a reason why I didn't mention this friend here and now. There may be another thing coming for us both in the near future and that will probably be the subject for my next article. 😃
