Join the new world

I have been involved in erepublik for a week and a half now and I have been reading up on things within eUSA. I have decided to create this newspaper so I can show my opinions. I believe that only after giving our opinions voice that we can build this already great nation, and make a more perfect union.

I love that some of our leaders are working for Free Trade. I believe that Free trade works within certain parameters. It only works if individual nations specialize on their trades and resources they have an advantage in. Therefore, I agree that we should have low import taxes on things were are not specialized in. I also believe that we should have a moderate import tax hike on the things the USA are good at producing, so we can lower the taxes on things like that. I think that will lead to much more specialization and trade, leading to everyone gaining.

I also think that we should use this raise in Import tax to fund Q5 defense systems and Q5 hospitals. This will help us in battle and will allow use to become an even stronger power. I don't believe in being a war hawk. What I believe in is having the best darn military system available, and only using it whenever necessary. I think war games is a fantastic idea, but I believe we definitely need to aid Ireland (our War Game partner) if they are ever under serious threat.

I have been involved in erepublik for only a week and a half now and I already love it! I have risen to a level that allows me to fight, vote, join a party, and write this newspaper that I really hope you're enjoying.
