Ohai o/ (Scavenger Hunt V3)

Day 1,521, 21:34 Published in USA Canada by Nosyt
Here's a song

Well, I recently took on eUS citizenship to take advantage of your pleasant production bonuses. The Independent Legion has been able to increase our supply drops as a result so thanks for that. Unfortunately this means you have to put up with my media as well, so just keep in mind that I tend to write for a Canadian audience 🙂

Though I did visit #USA-Chat once

So in my last article, I made my second scavenger hunt, and in this article I’ll be presenting the answers as well as a third. Basically, I like old things, and erepublik has a seemingly endless amount of “ancient” media that I can get to quite easily. So I give you a clue which should help lead you to one of those articles, and in the comments of that article you’ll find the next clue. The first, second and third person to PM me with the proper articles will receive 5, 2.5, and 1 gold. If you get stuck you can PM me for 1 freebie.

So for those who couldn’t find last weeks answers, or didn’t attempt, here’s the answer key~

Clue #1
The first article you’ll be looking for is a response to the first battle that took place during the PEACE invasion of North America; when France attacked Nova Scotia. This was the beginning of a war that would end with eCanada being removed from the map, but is still considered one of the most glorious times of eCan history. The first battle itself was epic. eCanada lost, but received massive support from allies and proved to be a tough fight. The article that contains the second clue confirmed that the Battle for Nova Scotia was a record breaker, and it’s certainly interesting to compare what broke records then with the amount of damage that’s dealt in the game today. ^.^

Naturally, the answer was - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-battle-for-nova-scotia-a-record-breaker-859300/2/20#comments

Clue #2
If we fast-forward about 100 days, PEACE nations occupying eCanadian land finally comes to and end. eCanada learned how to fight more efficiently, we learned to work with our allies, joined EDEN, the Crimson Canucks were formed as the entire nation worked together for that seemingly impossible goal of sovereignty. On day 705, American allies succeeded in opening and winning a battle for the last Hungarian region in eCanada, Nunavut, which had been transformed into a bit of a fortress region since it had ever so valuable diamonds.

To celebrate, it was suggested that eCanada declare October 25th a national holiday, a day that we must never forget. Unfortunately it never caught on, but I'm still asking you to find the article 😛

Clue #3
One of the major impacts WWIII had on eCanada was the formation of a second military as an alternative to the CAF, the Crimson Canucks, originally known as Bruck's Canucks. During the early days there was a lot of tension between these groups, which is only natural. It was the 15th President of Canada who decided to make a gutsy move and appoint a well known CC member as his Minister of Defense, and in one of the most famous acts of eCanadian history near the end of his term the honorable minister donated 4305CAD from the Ministry of Defense org to various Canadians. Clue #4 will be in the President's address condemning and explaining the "theft"

Naturally, I’m referencing Chucky Norris’ “Trust and Honor” - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/trust-and-honor-1288170/1/20

Clue #4
When eCanada was annexed by France, many other PEACE nations were invited to join in the fun. The Diamonds of Nunavut as well as Manitoba were given to Hungary. The Maritime Provinces and Fortress Alberta were placed under British control. The population zones of Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia were left for the French and Iran was invited across the Bering Straight (they had colonies in China at the time) to take Yukon and NorthWest Territories. One by one we worked to kick each country out, first the Brits, then the French, until eventually only Iran and Hungary were left. Both were considered powerful enemy nations, and no real attempt was made to confront them until the time was right. Then suddenly, Iran decided that they would declare war on eCanada due to a faux pas by the Canadian ambassador who was negotiating the release of the true north strong and free. However, Iran was silly and never attacked a region, and after 24 hours they lost initiative and Canada took advantage of the open war by attacking Yukon. While Iran was a powerful country at the time, it had been a while since they'd seen a real war, and by this time Canadians were highly experienced with timed strikes near the end of the battle, and were able to take the enemy completely by surprise to secure victory. The next day, the last Iranian colony in Canada was attacked, and with the support of our allies, NWT was liberated at last.

The article you're looking for was written by the Vice President at the time, commemorating our victory and basically rubbing it in Iran's face

What a wonderful victory this was - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/hundreds-of-eiranians-wake-up-stranded-in-ecanada-946888/1/20

Clue #5
While the theme of this hunt has been Canada during the PEACE invasion of North America, the last article you need to find is about a completely different era, the beta era. This was when eCanada and erepublik itself was still growing. While the article itself was published near day 1000, it was written by a famous eCanadian who lived through the beta player (though I fear he is now widely forgotten) who claims to be the first to reach the military rank of general. In this article he tells the story of the first eCanadian presidents and the war of Nave's toe through a well composed limerick!

I’m not a poet and I know it - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/alucard-s-liver-presents-ecanada-a-people-s-limerick-1475959/1/20

The winners were
1. Lejman
2. Jaidal
3. Trenton Rendell

If anybody’s interested in playing again, here’s your first clue.

Back in V1, the Philippines and Malaysia organized the largest training war ever seen in erepublik centered around Sabah. However, this training war was disrupted when Indonesia, in an attempt to boost their waning activity as a nation, declared war on Malaysia. On November 12, 2009 they attacked Sabah and activated 27 MPPs against them, and naturally lost. Later, EDEN nations would petition Malaysia to take vengeance for the act of aggression by attacking Indonesia’s colonies in India (attacking a non-native region wouldn’t activate their MPPs), however they stayed true to their neutral stance and never launched an attack against Indonesia. After several failed attempts to attack Malaysia, Indonesia finally pulled out the big guns and tanked them down to one region, in an attempt to wipe Malaysia and cancel out the MPPs. However, their last region was saved by French tanks at the last minute. France and Indonesia who were both members of PEACE GC at the time, suddenly became enemies, and though it’s not the sole contributing factor, this eventually lead to the alliance’s dissolution. History lesson aside, clue #2 is in the comments of Indonesia’s formal declaration of war on Malaysia.
