Me when he potus/jcs shit started again.
With all this shit going on about communication and shit, just want to bring up something:

Why we are acting like the JCS are not under the command of the president is beyond me, cause they are.
Don't really have much to contribute, but thought it was odd that people were treating the JCS and POTUS as equal positions.

Hate the military or not the eAmerica Constitution states the JCS and all branches of the military are under the control of the president. I think it is time to clean house and make the JCS retire and get in some new blood...
If the military wants funding from our tax dollars, they will answer to whomever Congress requires in the "Constitution" that they write. That said, it's possible for them to gain the majority in Congress (22 seats) and re-write that any way they want. Which, since it's an election not a coup by force, would be just as democratic as anything else: One citizen = One vote, still democracy (and mirroring real life, where soldiers vote for candidates who support their interests). So, THAT all said, it is probably best to attempt some reasonable balance (effectually). They are, or could become, a voting force to be reckoned with and make all the decisions anyway, as my friend Tom McDougal once pointed out to me. THAT said, any such showdown, while exciting, would disenfranchise a lot of gamers here who enjoy the political aspect of the game, only causing harm to retention/the nation. THAT said, appologies to all whom this whole lineage of thought offends in advance.
