Oexis for MDU Party President

OEXIS – Party Presidential Manifesto

For a second term, I am running for PP of the MDU. Here is my manifesto for those members of the MDU that aren't (but should be) on the forums 😉

I would like to formally announce my candidacy for Party President of the Movement for Democratic Unity. A dedicated MDU member for nearly two months, I have previously served as Membership Director and as your Party President. In my term I have seen many good points and bad points, but I believe we have worked together through the past month as a united force, moving forward as a stronger party.

If I am re-elected, I will use my knowledge and experience as your Party President to make my second term an even greater accomplishment than my first. I will set realistic targets and continue the strong organisation and infrastructure I have established during my previous mandate. Together, under a strong leadership, the MDU can flourish and continue to become a more powerful and influential political force, building on the foundations lain by my predecessors.

Movement

It’s what it says on the packet. We are the Movement for Democratic Unity – and I think this is a term that describes us well. We are not complacent or lazy. As a cohesive force we are constantly making progress and advancing our influence on the eUK’s political scene. Every day I am unfailingly proud to see MDU members trying their very best to make our nation a better place. When we want something done, we do it to the best of our abilities, and this is a credit to us as a party. During my term I want to push for more activity, more involvement, and create more opportunities for younger members to do their bit for the nation and the party. After all, had it not been for opportunities like this I doubt I would be here writing a manifesto for a second term as PP.

Democracy

Democracy is the universal dogma that unites all of the major parties in the eUK. It is hard to find an individual that will not passionately support the rights of free speech and suffrage. However, in our world there are many barriers to this, and it is time that the MDU paved the way to break through the prisons of oligarchy. We live in a nation with a “Big Three” mindset – why can this not be expanded to include us? We need to push for the recognition we deserve. In our party it is important that we preserve the rights of fair elections and fair representation, so I will make amends to ensure a complete democratic system in-party.

It is also the right of the unbiased onlooker to decide which party they want to join. We hinder ourselves by not having a public statement of beliefs; a point which has been raised many times and that we need to address now. We can silence the critics with a strong manifesto and party policy that allows us to stand next to the UKRP, PCP and TUP and hold our heads up high.

Unity

We do not lie when we say we are a united, active party. Our centrist stance allows us to attract capable individuals from the left and right to expand our membership and bring new politicians to the MDU. As a united party we are strong and capable of working together for everyone’s benefit. We do not endorse negative campaigning or discrimination of others. In our elections it is imperative that our unity is utilised for success. We must ensure that our Congressional Candidates have manifestos; that our Presidential Candidate has assistance in writing theirs, and that our elections run smoothly, helped along by our new and innovative position of Electoral Director.

Vote Oexis on February 15th for the Movement, Democracy and Unity that makes us one of the greatest parties of all – the MDU.
