October 2023 End of Term

Day 5,831, 00:16 Published in Japan Japan by metehan2010

Here we go dear eJapanese folks:

Other than one incident that created some international debate about the age of one of our citizens, I would say it was a relatively calm month. Thank you for doing your best keeping your toddlers off the stage during this time.

What else happened in October?

We lost 4 TWs and added 2 different ones back, ending the month with 10 TWs. The only picky TW partner we have, who was never shy about voicing their concerns around battle start times before, agreed to leave their concerns aside and go for the 24/7 rotation to help us have as many active battles as possible.

MKD left Shanghai region back to China and China had no interest in having a TW with us, no surprise there. Instead, we got a chance to start a TW partnership with South Korea through our Kyushu border. They are also willing to be a weekly epic organization partners.

Spain got under attack and once they lost their region bordering the one we were holding as a guest, we lost that TW. MKD reached out later and asked us to leave the Spanish region we were keeping so they could finish their goal to wipe Spain. Since there is no button that says “leave”, I politely explained the situation that it would not be up to us to leave and their only option would be to support a RW in that region. Which they did about 5 days later as you all know. I also let Spain know about this communication as a courtesy and they did not seem to be too concerned.

Everyone’s favorite TW partner finally did it. They won a battle they were not supposed to… and that ended two of our TWs, Moldova and Romania. We would have lost Moldova region sooner or later since the determination point was raising to a point that is hard to defend... I do not think anyone was heartbroken to see Romania TW to end but their CP is willing to restore a TW at some point and I would not be against it.

Ukraine TW… Your welcome! 😊

Bulgaria CP approached and inquired about the possibility of a TW if we end up sharing a border next term through India. I let him know that I would bring the subject to the table and let the ones who care enough about it to vote to give him an idea. The results are as shown below for the 21 responses received. Personally, I am not against it but I did not cast a vote in this survey since I would not be a CP or a congress member (until Nov 27th).

Financials: Monetary Market (MM) is once again proven to be quite profitable with the method I use when the rates, margins and the timing are right. We made over 2.5 million cc through MM and that was achieved with a fraction of the time I normally spend on it. To put it into perspective, our net gain for the month of October is approximately 1.7 million cc not counting MM profit. MM profits far exceeded the money we make from everything else.

After we settle our tax return transactions with our TW partners, our country orgs’ net worth with today’s gold price will be approximately 37.1 million cc. During the terms I handled MM transactions, including this term, we made over 8 million cc through MM. That is over 20% of our cash worth. Considering we have not touched the orgs and the MM for over 270 days (rates were not very good most of that duration), we should not miss the chances while the rates and the margins are profitable. This additional money can be used to fund epics to incentivize the early hitters, revive JUDO or create another program that returns the money to active players. We are not a wealthy country so anything helps.

Current state of country organizations is as follows:

44.8 million cc total with gold price assumed at 998 cc.
Our tax return owed is approximately 8.5m. for the days 5800-5830 both inclusive.

Our tax return to be collected is approximately 762k cc for the same period as mentioned above.

Pakistan appears on both categories since we occupy a region of theirs and they occupy one of ours.
Exact numbers will be slightly different since the day was not quite over when I pulled the data.

Donation laws. We could do better here. After I had access to the organization accounts, there were 22 laws placed and passed (23rd still in progress) equaling 8.8 million cc. The money that went into country treasury that needed to be transferred to national bank was approximately 9.5 million cc. That 0.7 million cc gap is why the org account totals did not quite reflect our total income (about 4.4 million) when total net worths are compared between when I took over them and when I am leaving them. Congress members should do their best to keep donation laws coming one after another as long as we keep occupying the Finland region.

This is it for now. Let me know if you have any questions and I might even answer them.

And...Congratulations draleNS89 for your landslide victory 🙂
I will provide you the org account info and the numbers for the taxes to be paid and collected later today.
