Obligatory Article: I Am Running For PP of the Feds

Day 1,145, 09:59 Published in USA USA by Angelini

Apparently I’m supposed to write one of these “I’m running for Party President” articles. So this is it. I am not a person who stands on ceremony. Keeping things simple and efficient, without a lot of noise and hoopla is how I like to roll.

In this article, I will not be telling you about all of the grand plans I have in mind if I am elected party president of the Feds. I have played this game for just under two years now, and one thing I have noticed is that most PP candidates propose the same “grand plans”, even those who are running against each other. The differences between the candidates lie not in what ideas they promise, but in how they will achieve their goals.

In my opinion, the most important function of a party in this game is to breed activity. The party as a whole should work together towards yielding an active, intelligent, and individualistic group. Ideas such as these start at the top and trickle down. A PP does not have to be heavy handed to lead well; in contrast, I believe that a leader who is willing to be hands off (to a degree), will allow the leaders/directors/members below them a chance to blossom and spread their wings, both within the party and on a national level.

I have said it many times, and I have proven it through my actions in the past: I am a facilitator. I strive to find the best people for the best jobs and allow them to do their thing and shine. As the head, I keep the big picture view and I counsel when and where it is needed. But it is the members who run the party, and I want to see more of our Fed members stand up and take on the responsibility of leadership.

To change the tone for a moment, do not allow the notion of me being a facilitator allow you to view me as someone who let’s everyone else do the work while I take all the credit. I never ask anyone to do anything that I myself am not also willing to do. I have worked as the FBI director for the Feds since May of 2010. I also work as a mass mailer and a mentor for the revived Fed mentor-ship program. I have been around the block before, and I have the wherewith all and the constitution to handle myself and party business on the national scene when it needs to be done. And as the former Commanding Officer of the Training Corps (one of the largest branches of the eUS military), I know what it entails to be in charge of a large group of people.

If you ever wanted to gauge me as a leader, I would recommend looking there. I used the methods I know how to use best (being a facilitator) and I was able to put together a team that turned the United States Training Division in the USTC, which can be fairly considered as the premiere new citizen training program in the country. At the risk of sounding immodest, the program has continued to thrive long after my departure, and I believe that is a testament to the way I ran and set things up before I left, giving as many people as I could a chance to rise through the ranks and prove their mettle without me stunting them or tearing them down.

Now that I’ve been rambling for the past little while, I’ll try to end this soon. Whether we like to admit it or not, the Feds have an image and identity problem.

I do not believe one person, or even two people can change this. The Feds as a whole must rise up and reclaim their place in the eUS. It is my goal to light a fire under the party. Changes are already under way. Karabeth and the Media department have been making strides with making noise in the media. A concerted effort has been made, in the media and on the party forums, to get more members active on a national scale by joining the eUS forums. And Talio Extremist has been working hard to get the Fed mentorship program back on it’s feet.

We are returning the old school ways that made the Feds the most active party in America, and the reason it is the only party to ever start as a sixth party and rise into top 5 party status. While I do not think turning completely back to these old ways is the answer to our problems, I believe that it would remiss of us as a party to deny that the way we used to work, worked well. Focusing on new citizen education and party communication are among the things we used to do better than any party. Fix ourselves and we will fix our image, and re-identify who we are at our core as a party.

I’ve gone on long enough, so I’ll end with this. My Vice President this month will be an older Fed who’s been around since the Feds were clawing their way into the Top 5 and he can help us regain our swagger. I am speaking of the fantasmal MitchRapp. He is pure awesomesauce, and I trust that he can help us blend our tried and true old Fed work ethics with the new blood and energy our party has.
