Now the dust has settled- Congress election results

Day 1,042, 09:37 Published in United Kingdom Ireland by 1nterestingch4racter

Well folks it’s that time of the month again, and what a month it has been! The huge drama this month revolves around the banned ukrp congressman Lord Ara, now known to be a multi of known multi accounter and traitor 70md II. This account was thankfully banned and numerous votes were removed from the character. Another mini scandal was the removal of a vote from the tally of deVillefort, the party president of the RFA which resulted in him losing his seat to a Unity Party member.

Scandal aside, let’s take a look at the individual results:
TUP: 18 (+3)
UKRP: 7(-5)
PCP: 6 (-3)
RFA: 5 (-2)
5th Party: 1

(These are including the proxy candidates that have moved back to their parties, keram10 to TUP and JvB to PCP)

As we can see from the results, TUP made massive gains whilst the other parties dropped a lot of support (the numbers here are slightly deceiving, last month due to regions we had 49 congressmen, this only only 39 because of a banned candidate) However, this is incredibly significant because it means that TUP has the same amount of seats as UKRP,PCP and RFA combined, which could lead to tensions within the Commons.

However, to look at activity a good measure would be to check the congress sign in on the forums after 2 days of opportunity, giving chance for the people that might have been afk for the weekend to be back, and the figures for congress activity are as follows:
TUP: 18/18 (100😵
UKRP: 7/7 (100😵
PCP: 4/6: (66.6😵
RFA: 3/5 (60😵

So there we have it, initial impressions of activity from the various political parties, with RFA being the bottom of the pile, not a good sign early on in the term! To name and shame the inactive congressmen:
Emergy Maxfell (RFA)
Joachim von Bremen (PCP)
Jordan Jenkins (PCP)
coolinezian (RFA)

Looking forward to the presidential elections, GGRyan from the RFA has thrown his hat in the ring, appointing Daniel Thorrold as his Vice President surely as a dealmaker to gain support from the right wing UKRP. It will be interesting to see how the parties of the left oppose what can only be seen as a right wing bid for the presidency.

More on that next time though, thanks for reading and please vote and subscribe!
