WASHINGTON, D.C. - Philippine President Myung Kei has appeared before both the Philippine and United States Congress to propose the renewal of the US-Philipines mutual protection pact (MPP).

"The US-PH MPP is a good move for [President] MK because of the current battles they have right now. We can increase our citizen's activity because of that," told former Philippine President and current congressman Paul delos Santos to The Outsider. "I just hope MK always checks the battle so he can set/unset the campaign of the day because of the delay in the showing of the battles."

However, he added that "we have other options as well, like Indonesia and China."

"During my term [as President], we had good relations with Indonesia and we can have an MPP with them if we ask," he explained. "Same with China, we had an agreement before that after using us as bridge, they'll MPP with us."

As of press time, the Philippine Congress is voting 11-nil in favor of the alliance, while the U.S. Congress is voting an overwhleming 37-to-1 in favor.

The United Sates is the only country with which the Philippines has an active MPP, while the U.S. Itself boasts of being party to 19 different MPPs.

The US-RP MPP is just one of two MPPs being voted on by the U.S Congress as of press time today, the other being the US-Uruguay MPP, proposed by Uruguayan President J. Pierre Darricarrere.
