Day 1,274, 23:06 Published in Philippines Philippines by Swagger McSwag

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Philippine President Myung Kei has once again proposed the renewal of the recently expired Philippines-USA mutual protection pact (MPP) before both the United States and the Philippine congress chambers just hours ago.

As of press time, the United States Congress is voting 9-to-2 in favor of the MPP, while the Philippine Congress is voting 5-nil in favor.

The United States will be the only country with which the Philippine will have an official MPP, while the USA itself boasts of 22 MPPs, including those with Japan, Canada, Ireland, India, Finland, and Australia.

The US-RP MPP is just one of two MPPs being voted on by the U.S Congress as of press time today, the other being the US-South Africa MPP, proposed by South African President Grimstone.
