Newbie Guide

The two main concepts of eRepublik are working and training. This article will focus on both of these basic ideas.



Working.
As soon as you log on there are a number of options. Getting a job is the first step. Go to the Job Market (Market Tab) and apply for a job. If you already have a job click on the My Places tab and click the Company link. When you get to the company page click work. Once you get a job you have to log on everyday to work. Pay attention, because this is how you get paid!!! There are options to use gold for boosters in the work page, but this can be expensive. The four options are as follows: Single Espresso (zero gold), Double Espresso (0.19gold), Brainstorm (0.79 gold), and finally After Work (0.99 gold). Double Espresso will boost your productivity by 50%, Brainstorm by 100%, and After Work by 200%. Your productivity level will rise by 10% of your production. So for example you produce 519 grain, your productivity level will go up by 51.9 points. I suggest to work without using a booster until you have a steady gold income. To do this click on Single Espresso and then click the work button below. When you work you get 2 experience points and your economy skill and productivity rise, however, you will lose health based on the quality of the company. I suggest you start at a q1 (1 star) company until you are making good money and gaining experience. Then you can progress to a different company. For the time being just work everyday and if you can work for 30 consecutive days you can get a Hardworker Medal. Any medal will win you a treasure map which you can use to get gold. There is a chance to win up to 60 gold!



Training. This is also a daily chore found in the My Places page under the Training Grounds link . Every time you train you will get stronger. When you train you gain 2 experience points and lose 1 health point. Training also has boosters. Just like working you should not use boosters until you have a regular gold income. The training boosters are as follows: Army boots (zero gold), boot camp (0.19 gold), Caesars battles (1.49 gold) and Napoleon’s Victories (1.79 gold). Using boosters will raise your strength just like using work boosters will raise your productivity. Army boots will give you a 10% increase, boot camp a 50% increase, Caesar a 100% increase and Napoleon a 200% increase. Every 250 strength points that you advance will net you a Super Soldier medal. Just like a Hardworker medal this will win you a treasure map with the chance to win up to 60 gold!

My 2 Cents. The total lack of newbie interaction is typical of most countries; however, we cannot grow as a nation without everyone being involved. Most of the game is based on other things besides the two basic phases, also known as 2-clicking. Ask anyone who has played for more than a couple of months and message them. Do not be afraid to ask questions!!!!! I for one love to help out new players and I think that what makes eRepublik so different from any other game I have ever played is the interaction between people from areas of the globe. There are still things that I don’t get, so I look them up in the wiki The forums are a great place to meet new people and citizens of your country.
