Welcome, dear readers! The Shining Nippon has reopened after its long absence.

To commemorate this opportunity, the soon fall of the dictator and the reopening of Japan, we will start with a new series called Snapshop Japan, in which we will bring you closer to Japan from the comforts of your home! Of course, we hope to see you in Japan with us and have a drink with you to our friendship at your visit!

The very first city that we will take a closer look at and introduce will be
奈良 is also known as Nara!

This city used to be the capital city before Kyoto long ago! Despite its old age and not being that popular tourist destination, we hope you will give this city a chance for its unique charm!

The reason why you should visit Nara includes that you will rarely find a city that is so in tune with nature as this one. A large part of Nara is directly surrounded by nature! What is more charming than to have the busy life and architecture of the city but also the blessing of nature right around you?



You might have noticed the deers by now! Yes, they are a crucial part of our culture here in Nara, and they freely roam around nature and on the streets. You can also pet them and feed them!

They are very respectful animals and mean no harm as long as they are respected and treated well!



If you want to get a bit away from the city in general, we also have shrines and a lot of forests here where you can enjoy being in nature and being at peace with yourself and the world.



You might also want to visit our shrine in our central park, which attracts many tourists every year and hosts a variety of statues inside.



If you are the kind of person who appreciates the larger picture in life and being one with the world, you will LOVE Nara!
