New eRepublik map vs Gobba's map
Petrica Dinozaurul
It was recently announced that a new World Map, created by the eRepublik Team itself is about to be released. Certainly, we all agree that this is some good news, but I've seen people claiming that Gobba should receive the copyright due to his own map.
Now, it goes without saying that Gobba's map is awesome, I won't be the one to argue about that, but I'm sure that me and another 20 000 citizens saw the need for a interactive world map since the early days of the war module. So what I'm saying is that demanding a copyright for the idea of a World map is like claiming to have invented hot water. I won't give any more arguments to support this idea, but I'm sure we can engage in a debate in the comments section, if someone should wish so.
Anyway, I won't end these few lines before using the occasion to be probably the 10 000th guy to say:
"Hei Gobba, thanks for your work, your map rocks!"

wasn't petrica somalezu part of crew?
Gobba should receive the copyright due to his own map. He did it first, not erep guys. So....
You can only copy-write very specific things about the way stuff works, which is why LEGO can't sue MegeBlocks and all those other similar products, and why there's a million different versions of every software idea there is.
