New Citizen Fee

A new citizen fee has been proposed (from Cz20 to Cz25). As the proposer has given no explanation for the rationale for this I have set up this board to hear what people's views are on this issue.

My initial reaction is against - congress approved the reduction form 25 to 20 7 days ago - what has changed since then to warrant over-turning this?

I fear that congressmen may be proposing law changes just to get something with their name on on the statute books... we should be warey of clogging up government business iwth the vanities of congressmen/women....

I have to agree, this is in my opinion pointless. It really doesn´t matter if citizen gets 20 or 25 CZK. I abstain from voting.

Seems pointless to me as well. While a balance between the welfare of citizens and the cost to business and government needs to be struck, I feel that this may just be mati_971 (one of Juan's Argentinian cohorts) trying to make a name for himself early on.
