New Ambassador Program

Day 1,790, 08:14 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by James Scarlet

Dear Citizens of the United Kingdom,
Our MoFA has decided to implement a new Ambassador Program.
Prime Minister Talon has mentioned it several times in his articles and Kravenn has also been talking about the program.

Kravenn got rid of the old Ambassadors because they were not being in-depth enough. She said the old ambassadors were saying very mediocre things to foriegn governments like:

"Hi, I'm the new UK ambassador for XXX
This is the composition of our gov
Bye
(See you next month)"

Kravenn states,

"You learn nothing, you are not very involved, ...

We need to change this : We are looking for diplomats, not forum posters.
So, I had the (wonderful) idea to organise Interviews with foreign people. I talked with Rodney about this idea and he approved it.
We made a small sheet where you can find some questions about the country where you will have a mission.

It will be about relations with their neighbors, current wars, their strongest MUs, ...
PS : you can also add some questions too

By this way : you will be forced to contact a foreign minister, and organise an interview with him (that will be a diplomatic contact), you will learn things about his country, political life, ...
Once the interview is finished, you will post back on UK forum and We will check your information.
Month after month : these interviews will be a guide where we can follow a country's life.
Good interviews can be published into your personnal newspaper (but only after you send the feedback to MoFA and dMoFA.)"

So, very simply you have to contact a MoFA from a foriegn country and interview them. I did it. It was fun to talk to somebody from a different country, complain about Plato together, and learn something new about somebody else. Being an "Apprentice" Ambassador also gives you some valuable experience with other countries. You can read my interview with the MoFA of Belgium here.
