Name in honour of long time eCanadian, Nefarious, the Nefarious Memorial Lottery has been created to give all Canadians an opportunity to share in the wealth that he earned. When Nefarious retired from the game he wanted to find a suitable means of distributing his wealth. He made a donation of roughly $650 CAD to the Government of Canada. The rest was donated to Zanalan on the condition that a lottery be established. In keeping with that request, we are pleased to announce the creation of the lottery.

The lottery will be run as a 5/50 selection—five numbers between 1 and 50. Tickets will be available to all verified Canadians for $1 CAD each. There is no limit on the number of tickets purchased. The prize distribution will be:
Match 2 numbers -- $1.00
Match 3 numbers – 20% of the current draw ticket sale (split between all winners of this pool).
Match 4 numbers – 30% of the current draw ticket sale (split between all winners of this pool).
Match 5 numbers – Minimum of 5 Gold plus 40% of ticket sales.
For the jackpot prize, the pool will be increased by 40% of ticket sales for every draw until we have a winner. Once the pool is won, the jackpot for the next draw will revert to 5 Gold plus the current ticket sales.

Additionally, 5% of all ticket sales revenue will be donated to the Government of Canada. In this way, Nefarious can continue to contribute to the success of his homeland long after he is gone.

Prize drawings will take place every Monday and will be announced here and on the eCanada forum. Ticket sales cutoff will be Midnight on Sunday (Calgary time).
