National Prosperity and Politics

People of Austria:

Although a new immigrant to Austria, I have been watching the Austrian political scene with much interest for quite some time. Austria today plays host to only one political party, a sensible precaution in the face of the recent political upheavals that the country has experienced. The benefits of this current system, for now greater in strength than its detrimental effects, will most likely last until the next Congressional elections.

With the existence of a single party comes a most potent benefit that is rarely realized in a multiparty political arena. As we are all currently unified within a single party, we currently possess the capability to change Austrian political life for the better, bringing along such benefits as easier defense against PTO groups and a greter ability to recruit new citizens to our nascent Republic. All that these reforms require is a little patience and some time.

One of Austria's most pressing needs is a new national forum. As of this writing, plans for a new national forum are being developed by established citizens of the nation. A national forum provides an excellent space for both Congressional debates and for the citizenry to begin knowing each other better. A national forum is also crucial for attracting new citizens, as it is through such a place that many new players first go, as well as established players thinking of moving learn more about the nation. Without one, Austria is losing out on an important tool of unification.

After the community as a whole, the next place that citizens turn for loyalty is their party. A well-disciplined party is important both for organizing competitive elections, and, if need be, ATO plans. Discipline and structure do not stifle innovation within a party, but merely focus the collective efforts of its members towards their common goal. Having served as a PP of three separate parties, I can testify firsthand as to the benefits that an organized political party can give to a nation. The party of which I was PP in New Zealand, the Peace and Prosperity Party, was organized during the first two months of its existence in such a way that it is currently the only large party in New Zealand to both not be under the control of hostile elements and to have an active membership. Although in its current form, the Austrian Unity Party is more of a stopgap measure, in the near future it can develop the capability to not be just a party, but to be the natural party of government.

The number of beneficial adjustments to Austrian society that can be made are myriad. All I have done is outlined two of them that I feel to be of the utmost importance. A country's pillars rest upon its community and its parties. As the nation continues to develop, it is not only our right, but also out duty, to work towards changing Austria for the better.
