My Un-retirement and a long rant
BuzzyTheCat
No good evenings tonight,
Sadeh is gone. Forced from his home by the great betrayal of some of his closest friends and his very own party, he has decided to leave this festering hole in the ground rather than succumb to the fate of so many other vets who have suddenly and unceremoniously had their crowns ripped off their head. Rather than continue to 2 click in a country that doesn’t want him, he decided to leave. I can’t say I blame him in the least little bit. You whining, “revolutionary” up-start, glorified 2-clicking kids who think you know sooooo much about the game and the way things work, have driven him from his home.
And what do we see now? Sadeh was all but spit on by the IWP, Franz Kafka, and its laughable little council, I announce my retirement, and within 2 days there is already a massive power vacuum occurring. For the first time in the entire history of Israel, we have 5 presidential candidates. At this moment, Israel is more disorganized and divided than we were when we first became a country. Israel started with nothing after liberation, we had no gold, no economy, nearly no citizens, two political parties… but everyone knew whom their leader was. Everyone knew whom to look for to gain strength and to feel solidarity in the cause… and that was Sadeh. Now? No one has a dam clue what is going on. There is no leader in this country, no one with the economic, foreign relation, military, or leadership skills necessary to run a political party let alone an entire country. We are left with Presidential candidates not chosen because of skill or based on merit, but candidates who were chosen to run because they were the “best candidate in their own party”. There is no spirit of self-sacrifice, there is no spirit of “doing what is best for the country” dam near everyone is out for themselves now.
So what does this mean?
I am going to come out of retirement and run again in these elections. Not by choice, not because I wanted to, but out of necessity. Yes, it really sucks for me. I was looking forward to a nice little rest and relaxation in September, possibly getting to, oh I don’t know…sleep more than 4 hours a night, but apparently that just isn’t going to happen. If I leave while Sadeh isn’t here and there are no candidates whom I believe can actually run a country, Israel is screwed. We are not a country like the US who can have an amazingly crappy President and survive on size and power, we are not a country like Spain who is so united that even being conquered doesn’t stop them… we are a collection of weak little kids with twisted and naive views on the world, we are a collection of losers who in other countries wouldn’t even make it into congress. And at the very heart and soul of it all, is a small group of ultra active people, people who have held government positions, people who have ran a military larger than Israel’s entire population, people who have been in the trenches and done whatever they could to help. But of course, the opposition is stronger than that small group by numbers alone.
I can also say with certainty that if I am not elected in this race, I will leave. Not the country for I have said in the past, Israel is my home. I will die and decay within these regions of the world that no one cares about. After a year and a half in this game, more than 6 months served in Israel, five months in Knesset, two months as President, building two countries militaries… if you all decided to spit in my face like you did Sadeh’s, well, you can all figure out a way to survive without any type of real leadership. I am not going to go back to 2-clicking after all I have accomplished, and I am sure as hell not going to move to another country and start all over again. If the Israeli public hates this country's “founding fathers” so much, then my time in Erepublik will end there.
I can also say that I truly and utterly despise a few people in this country, not because I had pre-conceived notions of them, but because they have shown they are as skilled and knowledgeable as ants under a magnifying glass. I have also tasted bitter betrayal from long time friends while in this country and felt great disappointment from people who promise to do so much, and fail at even lasting a week. Sometimes I wonder if a single one of you is grateful for the country you live in. Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually realizes how lucky we were to have people like Sadeh and I to run things because it sure as hell wasn’t/isn’t easy.
Israel has a 90% inactive, uninterested, and 2-clicking population, and no one has initiative to do anything about it either. Let me ask, how many of you have created a Facebook or Myspace page to encourage new citizens to join Erepublik? Anyone have a Twitter page? How about someone writing a letter to a website admin about Erepublik? Of course not, people like Justin Moore have more fun demonizing the countries leaders because they hold contempt for a life they will never obtain. People like Franz Kafka come in and “revolutionize” the most united party in the country and destroy a system which was working perfectly fine and succeed in doing nothing undoing both things.
So there you have it Israel. I begrudgingly will be running for President of this utterly screwed up country. I hate to say this, but in all reality, I am your only hope of actually continuing to somewhat succeed in this world. Take it or leave it. I am sure as hell not happy about it, I am not going to pander for votes by compromising who I am or my own ideals, but I will do it because unlike some people, I have invested everything I have in this country, and I actually want to see positive things occur here.
The choice is yours Israel. I will now await the flood of IWP and Likud hate which is sure to come.
Your very angry President,

You have my deep respect buzzy, and i hope you win, and i know you care about Israel .
I do hope however that you consider to please respect others opinions, Im afraid its just a world where not everyone agrees with you, and sometimes you have to PROVE to the newbies out there that you are better then they are, So please have patience with some of them who dont know whats going on or dont know what theyre saying.
And please, Chill man. this is just a game.
Good Luck Buzzy.
I am truly, utterly sorry for the trouble my party has caused you.
I await you on the battlefield.
A new generation of eIsraelis is being born. Time to forge new alliances.
Good luck Buzzy. The US and all of Eden need a strong, organized, and unified Israel.
welcome back buzzy, I agree with alot of your points.
Glad to see you're back Buzzy 🙂
i agree you and sadeh have done a whole lot for this country probally more than any other two ppl have... however there is one problem maybe you two have done so much you guys look at it like its YOUR country, which is wrong its OUR country the people of Israel. Instead of the insults i see Sadeh giving new players perhaps if he were to talk to them with respect and guide them they would not dislike him. And the whole im gonna take my ball and go home drama queen mess is not honourable its childish. I agree there are some ppl running that are not capable of running this country properly, however if someone not capable of running this country right were to win the office would you be willing to humble yourself and offer your advice to this person? Face the facts, if this country keeps growing, power is going to change hands its unavoidable
"however if someone not capable of running this country right were to win the office would you be willing to humble yourself and offer your advice to this person?"
I already did that once when Gzen became President, and I would probably do it again. This isnt about power, its about keeping Israel alive. A shift in power from myself to another fully qualified candidate is perfectly fine with me, but I can not stand idly by and watch the country be handed over to someone who cant run it properly.
"And the whole im gonna take my ball and go hope drama queen mess is not honourable its childish."
If I lose the election it isn't so much to do about taking my ball and going home, it is more like being spit on and disrespected by people who have not served their time and paid their dues to the country like I have. Thats the only reason I would leave... why stay somewhere where you aren't wanted or appreciated?

Buzzy , the vast majority does want you and does appreciate you, but acting like everyone is hostile when its only a few people is not a good idea.
i agree Roy, there is always going to be someone who doesnt like you and i would say the vast majority of the public supports Buzzy..
Buzzy, might i suggest not making fun of your voters.
...and there are no candidates whom I believe can actually run a country...
Hmm. So you do think that Cj Will Win hasn't got what it needs to be a president. May I ask why?
Take a chill pill, Buzzy. Remember that its only a game.
"I'm afraid its just a world where not everyone agrees with you, and sometimes you have to PROVE to the newbies out there that you are better then they are"
Problem with that , THEY'RE IDIOTS , they just don't understand common logic , that's how men like JustinMoore get elected 🙂
"And what do we see now? Sadeh was all but spit on by the IWP, Franz Kafka, and its laughable little council"
How so did I spit on him. Invar was wrong in his dealings with Sadeh, and my selection of him to gather Presidential candidates was a mistake. But I immediately cleared this up with you and I put Sadeh on the list for the Committee.
And until you left IWP, you were on the committee - yet didn't comment once on the issues I put to the committee.
As I made clear in my earlier mails to you - had you put yourself up for selection, I would like to have seen the process biased in favour of the incumbent. As it is you have waited to the end of a selection process to throw your hat into the ring.
I am sorry you felt it neccessary to write this article. It does you a great disservice as it tarnishes the reputation of a great and well-respected leader of our nation.
Despite what you unfairly say about me. I remain in admiration of the great work you have done for this country. And hope you will remain in its service whatever the outcome of the election. As shall I.
Respectfully,
Franz Kafka
"Take a chill pill, Buzzy. Remember that its only a game."
A game where your country can be destroyed and have the population hate it , if you fail , which many people do , that's why we have men who do not , like Sadeh and Buzzy .
"Buzzy, might i suggest not making fun of your voters."
Notice I didn't make fun of everyone? Just the ungrateful little whiners, which I am sure make up 99% of the 30 or so votes which are always against every single IWP candidate...Chances are very good that the people who like to bash me and Sadeh are also the people who have never voted for either one of us.
"Hmm. So you do think that Cj Will Win hasn't got what it needs to be a president. May I ask why?"
Out of my long time friendship for CJ I refused to directly engage him disparage him, or attack him in any way unless he does so to me first.
@yyytttvvv
But still its just a game on the internet, its not real life. No need to get upset about an internet game.
Your Inability to take a bipartisan appraoch to issues is the source of your distress Buzzy. Likud is always willing to work with the IWP, It has always been the IWP in power, and not wanting to reach across the Isle. Lets get the facts stright. and by the way, You are not gods gift to eIsrael, and neither am I, and neither was Sadeh. You have done a good job in keeping us safe, and I respect that. You should become more aware of different views and opinions on matters and respect them, not get pissed off and rant on and on. Good Luck in the election, I hope you or Aeroner win, and maybe we can go forward hand in hand.
or you can continue the same failed approach. The choice is yours.
And I already feel it coming, another Personal attack on Justin. But as ive told you before, it doesnt rattle me. Im not out for votes, Im not out for popularity. Its seems you like to target me just to be targeting me. Im not the only outspoken person in Israel buzzy, you are too. Other than asking you to deal with things more proffesional, I dont come out and attack you in an article. Excuse me for wanting to develop, unite, and reform the Likud Party, If Sadeh would have treated his party members fairly in the start, I would still be in the IWP.
"Your Inability to take a bipartisan appraoch to issues is the source of your distress Buzzy."
I have never had a problem with bipartisanship. Gzen a Likud member was my VP until he went inactive and if I win I will ask Aeroner to be my VP this term. I also supported the Likud idea of limited transparency, which I have been doing since it was introduced 2 months ago
I also am not the one who has nicknamed myself the "dictator" and carried on entire conversations without mentioning the name BuzzyTheCat, but instead constantly refereed to me as "the dictator"... the Likud forums aren't very secure in that respect.
That said, I don't have an outright hate for Likud in general, but I do dislike a great many of the ideas that come out of the party
Buzzy, I am aware that anyone can view those forums, I am aware that upset you. It was meant as educational and as my personal opinion. When we have one or two people running all of the government companies it appears as a dictatorship. I am just being straightforward, it does not mean I hate you, or wouldnt ever support you again, its just my viewpoint on those issues. We have nothing to hide at Likud. I invite all IWP members to join the forum. We are transparent.
Yes Justin , we will continue the "Failed approach" which has kept our nation together since it was founded .
that makes no sense. Were not together, even Buzzy admitted it, so the failed approach, is a failed approach. I am Not speaking in a defensive millitary sense. But in a failed bipartisan, reach across the isle, gether input and apply it respectevly sense.
Oh lulz , *Fail* I was talking about running our nation and such .
@Justin Moore "When we have one or two people running all of the government companies it appears as a dictatorship."
No, sir, it appears as you cannot find reliable administrators among two-clicker's nation. You cannot find reliable administrators among those who place their swollen ego atop of other things in eLife. You cannot place eIsrael's future in trembling hands of media spinners just because they can write down some vocal statements. You and your kind just unable to do the job, period.
And yes, Sadeh and Buzzy, as much as CJ and eliberator, Intereza and Zaib Atsu, Swifty and many others, who care for Israel are indeed God's gifts to eIsrael, just as much as you are Israel's curse.
Buzzy, as someone who is relatively new to eRepublik, and someone who wants to have a more active role in this game other than just "two-clicking", I really have to wonder why you're ostracizing your voters. If its only a select few people who are ruining the fun for everyone else, then there isn't a need to lash out.
"Hmm. So you do think that Cj Will Win hasn't got what it needs to be a president. May I ask why?
Out of my long time friendship for CJ I refused to directly engage him disparage him, or attack him in any way unless he does so to me first."
I would imagine saying so in an article is asking for direct engagement.
Personally i think CJ would make fantastic president. Guy is not trashing around, throwing sensless words and whatever. Hes a worker and i really like the guy. Every time i neaded something i went on chat on pm,...i got the answer in detail. Exactly the same i can say for eliberator and Buzzy.
