My Triumphent Return

Hello eRepublik world. I'm a old player who has just returned to eRepublik and things have defiantly changed. eRep was still in V1 when I previously left and now were in V3. I'm excited to learn what the new system has in store for me. I would like to discuss somethings that I like and don't like from the eyes of a old player.

Lets start with the good;


1.Fighting- The new fighting system seems pretty cool. When I left you could only fight a little every so often but now you can do a lot of damage every hour or so. This makes me feel like I've made a difference in the battle and want to fight some more.

2.Military Units- The Military Units are a cool thing. When I left the military were not legitimized. You were in a military if you visited their forums and did what they said but if you didn't have the time for all that it was pointless. Now you can get orders directly through the game and it feels more legitimized. This is something eRep got right.

3.The Potential- This isn't really new but my favorite thing about eRepublik was that the possibilities were endless. If you wanted to be the leader of a country you could, if you wanted to be a general of an army go for it, if you wanted to own the markets as a business owner you could. There is nothing you couldn't do in eRepublik and that is the best.

Now that my compliments are finished lets see what I don't like;


1.Self Production- Back in the day when you needed an item you went and bought it from a player who produced it, now when you need something you make one yourself. This makes no point to trading and the markets are pretty much useless. Now anyone can get what they need for themselves and their is no longer a working economy. I miss the days where owning a company was a goal not so easy to achieve, now any person who can complete a tutorial gets as much materials and items as they need.

2.Food Consumption- When I left the game food was easy to manage. You would buy enough food for the week and be good but now you go through food like crazy if you want to fight. Food is quite cheap but it gets annoying to buy every few hours.

Well now that i'm done ranting I'm looking forward to my return and excited to what what else is in store for my eLife.
