My take on the situation.
witherd1
While I play this game, I try to do so as a member of a community. I try to be impartial to all opinions, consider everyone's point of view before making up my mind, no matter what Party or MU I am a part of.
By doing this, I have thought I have made friends in the past, but those friends have turned as quickly on me as they had befriended me, because I had stuck to my beliefs, and what I had thought best for this Nation.
What I have come to realise, however, and only just now, strangely enough, is that not everyone else playing this game is playing for the sake of the community or the Nation at large. Some play for number one, and number one only. I am not saying that everyone with a different opinion to mine is playing for themselves, I am saying, that you can really tell the selfish ones.
As an example, today in Senate, I was astounded by the attitude of Senators, giving volunteers that work in Cabinet a hard time, for taking longer than 12 hours to approve or disapprove a Citizenship request, because it was seemingly an inconvenience to the Senator in question. I am appalled by this.
I have seen, term in and term out, for 7 terms now, too many Senators get voted in, seemingly by multi's, that severely neglect their duties as a Senator. They are happy to take the 5 gold, have a bitch and a whinge at those actually doing some work, then do nothing the rest of the term. This kind of Senator will be active for only a 2-3 day period around the beginning of term, then you will not see them again until the next term. And before people get all "offended", by multi's voting them in, I mean, because no one would or should vote for a Senator that does nothing every term, so they are clearly getting votes via multi's if they have 10+ votes after having done nothing for multiple terms. They need a lesson in subtlety.
Now, my whole point of this article, is just how astounded I am, at the attitude of those that play this game for #1, and have no intention of playing as a member of team eAustralia. I am disgusted that someone would chastise a volunteer that spends many many hours, out of their own free time, to help us all as an eNation.
What have YOU done? Are you willing to give up some of your own time, some of the time you could otherwise be spending with your family in front of the tele, to help these people do their jobs more efficiently? Because, after-all, these things take time, because there are very few people willing to do the job. So... If you are not willing to help or contribute, you have NO RIGHT, to complain. When you have given up your free time, and taken time away from your family or your buddies or your TV or your internet porn... then you can complain.
Now if you have not been paying attention to those Senators that get in every term after not doing anything, start paying attention. If you want to know who, and you dont realise who is actually doing nothing, like Senators who promised to revolutionise the Senate last term and ended up doing absolutely NOTHING, then all you need to do is watch the Senate forum, because that is where we discuss what is going on.
As much as some Senators and their fanbois would like to state that they are boycotting the forums because it is roleplay, that is simply immature, as the forums are simply a reliable source of communication to orchestrate our efforts of running this country.
Well, thanks for letting me get a few things off my chest. I feel much better now.
How about we all start to work a bit more as a team, rather than fighting each other, lets fight the enemy and just simpy...

R ...get our shit together.

Love this article witherd1. I do watch the forum discussions and I sometimes think that Sheraz and Greg might have one of the hardest jobs in eAus because if they make just 1 mistake and let in the wrong person the rest of the country will want to hang them.
all i heard was bla bla bla eAus will never change.
One of the reasons I left eAus was this, you never had to read many articles to know what someone was talking about which is the inactive, lazy elites from eAus.
Voted,
One of the challenges for what I imagine the majority of people that play is that they do not spend very much time on the forum, as they have little use for it in there 5min a day to play, and so will likely vote in either who ever invited them to the game, who ever the PP nominates, or who ever shout gets their attention. The parties need to take significant responsibility in who they allow as official candidates.
Great article!
If you feel like this, it's time you took a break. It's a game, something you're forgetting. I respect you mate, but at the end of the day, things like this shouldn't get to you that much. You have said time and time again to me, it's a game, don't worry. I haven't anymore. Take the same advice, it will do you a world of good, then come back and truly enjoy eRep and the people for what they truly are: a, fun, insane group of people. You talk about eAustralia as if it is real Australia. It isn't.
Say's you : D
Great article! V+S
Good article
you sound pretty mad witherd1. and you also make being a Senator sound like a full-time job. We barely filled our quota this term. Majester got in on 1 vote LOL. Stop being so precious.
Two things:
@Flatty: Bro you're really the last to speak on rage quitting LOL!
Secondly, spot on article!
The cabinet Ministers and their staff have all been working exceptionally well this term and each and every one of them deserves a huge pat on the back for their selfless efforts.
@ TJ Norton: I am stating that taking a break can be the best thing. If you didn't notice, I did play for about 5 months, I mentioned nothing about rage quitting.
The immigration job can never be too easy. You can do your best to check but a few will slip through the cracks no matter how hard you try.
@Flatty: Why give witherd a time of it? Wtf is with this 'something you're forgetting'? Back to your Smart Alec self it seems. We've all had times of discontent, myself included. You should know better than to down another who's going through it. Witherd has stuck through more disappointment than you ever knew how. He's standing up. I applaud him and the ministry who have been working ALL term to achieve great things.
Here's a joke for you eRep style:
Q. What's the difference between a Cabinet member and a freshman Congressman?
A. A Cabinet member does something.
TJ you are an asshole. No where did Flatty attack witherd.
You are the reason I quick. I started this account beacuse I wanted to get away from the bullshit that spuews out of your mouth.
You are impossible to reason with because you make crap up all the time. This is a great example. You attacked Flatty for no reason and call him a quiter. He comes back with kind words and you attack him again.
You just quit your cabnet job and you tried to quit the game, but didn't know how.
I planned to make a bad ass div 1 guy. I would train and not fight. This way I would level slow.
But I can't do it. Can't play with someone like you that is a dick just to be a dick. You make the game suck.
So I will also close this account too.
might be off-topic and less experienced by most/all of you but i have to say that the objective of each game is to spend your time in a nice way. don't take it so seriously, i don't say it is bad but is not needed at a high level(of seriousness-if that word exists).
in conclusion, don't let the game make you anxious/angry or any bad feeling but try to have fun with it.
might be mistaken for all the above but just wanted to say them.
have a nice day 🙂
@Rocket Mon: don't quit because TJ is an idiot. There are other people here that are actually having fun, join in on that rather than listen to the piles of BS that spew from his mouth.
@ChRiSisCrUs: exactly what I was saying. Some times you need to take a break and rejoin to find the fun in the game again.
@TJ Norton: again, I'll repeat myself. I am suggesting that witherd1 take a break. It was some advice he gave me, and it worked. Time away from the game can give you fresh eyes, and especially when it starts getting annoying rather than enjoyable. In saying that 'we've all been through this'; yes we have. But this is what I found to help. Calm down TJ, it's just a game.
First off all, Miss Wolf apologized when she found out that there is a procedure that can last much more then 12 hours.
All I said is that we should change a procedure and i explained why. I was Minister of Immigration, probably more terms then anyone else, so I know what I'm talking about. As I said, I explained why this procedure needs to be changed, I have arguments for every criticism i give.
Sheraz is doing a great job and I want to thank him for that.
Also, I want to publicly apologize if i offended him in any way.
Yes, Ministers are volunteers, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be criticized if one isn't doing the best job (not saying that Sheraz isn't ).
Miss Wolf voiced her frustration more than once in the forum cs thread that the cs approval is too slow for her liking. I personally don't know what the other ministers do but I can see what the Immigration team does.
Maybe the next administration can change the routine and speed things up.
@Flatster, it's all good mate, I am still enjoying the game, I just felt the need to get this off my chest. Now back to burning babies in South Africa 😉
@TJ, not sure, but you may have misunderstood Flatty, it's all good.
So we should link Senate activity to number of votes? I guess I get to set the low end of the bar.
Everyone needs to chill out and play the GAME. Games are supposed to be fun but all this stuff about 'activity levels' and who's doing more and who's doing less etc is just destroying the FUN for everyone. Maj is right, what has the number of votes got to do with how active someone is?
bla-bla-bla...
we need of war
now
There's an alliance war happening, fight for our allies and help EDEN gets it logo on the background (yeah, it's a crap ‘reward’).
