Join the new world

Greetings fellow eMontana citizens.

My name is Relorian. I am new to this game (well fairly new) but feel that I could do well to represent the state of Montana in this game. Below you will find a basic breakdown of what I would wish to accomplish if I win the election.

1. Jobs/Economy

If elected, I would push to set up a national farm and food production facility in eMontana. This would take full advantage of the states high grain production. The business would be run by the government and would have a role in producing food for our soldiers during wartime. I would also push that it not directly compete with other sellers of what ever quality food it produces until a wartime situation arose and the food was needed. This would ensure that prices stay fair during peacetime and provide Wartime stimulus to the state. I would also push to have eMontana's hospital upgraded in time. I realize we are not a high priority state like eTexas or eCalifornia but our hospital should be more than it currently is. Also our defense system could use an upgrade to at least Q1.

2. Wargames

If elected, I would propose continuing wargames with a likeminded country that we could trust. Not eMexico or any of the PEACE countries. Our recent debacle in eMexico was a sound defeat for the eUSA and shows where we need to improve. I would work to better facilitate communications between the government and the military. We need better planning and more communication if things start to go to hell in a handbasket. The war in Mexico also proved that we need state run Iron/Weapons production as the market wildly fluctuated. Yes, this is how real life would work, just look at the real world gun market now... however it also needs to be semi corrected. If our soldiers in this game cant get weapons for their fights, How do we expect to dole out the damage we need to secure and maintain our lands.

3. Atlantis
I am a vocal opponent of ATLANTIS. While the concept is sound the actual management is not. The 100 gold fine levied against the eUSA was a farce. The people who voted for it allowed their Real World bias of the USA to seep into the game. Other nations have done far worse things than failing to inform ATLANTIS of an intent to attack and gotten off with out so much as a slap on the wrist, then the eUSA opens up a war with a PEACE member and gets a fine set againsts it just to "enforce the rules". Why were they not enforced before? Why slap the US with such a fine instead of a simple warning or a smaller slap on the wrist. It is my intent that if elected, I would start a discussion about demanding the money back from those nations that took the money and did not return it out of fairness to other nations who violated. Its also my intent to open up discussion of revisions to the ATLANTIS treaty to better suit the nations who are members. I would also like to talk to the nations who we count on as allies as to why they felt such a penalty was in order when they felt penalties for other nations were not.

I will not BS you, I dont know much about the political process here in ER. I havent been here for long but I do want to get involved and represent my actual state of Montana. Yes I know the eWorld and the real world are different but I will bring the unique Montana view to the way I vote and the discussions I have if elected. This means a transparent government that communicates to its citizens, listens to their concerns and is answerable to them if they blow it.

Anyway this is my first run at Congress. I understand if you dont wish to vote for me but at least consider it as our current government got us into our current mess and maybe just maybe new voices can fix this situation.
