Join the new world

Greetings Alaskans! I come to you today announcing my candidacy for congress(wo)man to represent your state. I am running as a member of the Conservative Party.

Who Am I?
I joined the eRepublik community just under four months ago. I spent the first two weeks of my elife two-clicking, reading articles, and getting a general feel of the land. I joined the eNational Guard and moved to Florida from Maryland (my home state) in order to better participate in the war in Mexico. I have stayed in Florida, excepting the few deployments I have participated in (most recently to Greece to help liberate them from the invading Turkey). I am very active in the military. I am currently the Lt. General of the National Guard Training Division, and I act as the Executive Officer (or second in command) of the division. If you have any questions about my eRep history or about me in general, please feel free to contact me. I make a point to respond to every message I receive.

Activity
I feel that one of the most important qualities of a congress(wo)man is a high level of activity. I am a pretty active eCitizen. I can be found in many of the eUSA chat rooms and while I do not always post responses, I am frequently on the eUS Forums, keeping as up to date as I can. And as second in commad of the Training Division, I am responsible for placing new enlistees into their platoons and helping out platoon commanding officers and other Training Division personnel with any questions or concerns they may have. As such, I send and receive numerous messages in a day.

Taxes
I believe that when a person works to earn a living, they should receive as much of that money as they can. As a business owner and member of the military, I understand how hard it is to for a new citizen to earn a living while balancing wellness at the same time. On the flip side, a government needs money in order function at it's peak. But I will find what that peak is and support taxes that are reasonable to that end.

Military
I am in complete support of the current war games our country is participating in. They provide the means for our citizens to gain experience everyday and are an excellent way to improve wellness. Which in turn helps the business owners because an employee with high wellness produces more than an employee with low wellness. As for wars other than war games, I believe in coordinating battles with our allies in an attempt to increase our country’s standard of living (gaining resources we do not have, experience, and morale). I fully advise new eCitizens to join the National Guard Training Division to not only learn helpful hints to survive in this eworld, but to socialize and network with other eRep players and increase interest in eRepublik. I promise to represent your best interests and voice them regarding any military action,

Foreign Policy
With the dissolution of Atlantis, eAmerica has yet to become a part of another "global alliance". I support not jumping into another alliance at this time. We as eAmericans need to decide what direction we want this country to take before we start joining other countries or asking other countries to join us. I will support an eAmerica First policy in regards to my decisions on foreign policy.

Accountability and Transparency
I fully believe in transparency of government. If elected Congress(wo)man of Alaska, I promise announce here in my newspaper every vote I make and the reasons behind my decision.
