My beautiful Netherlands CP kandidatuur / candidacy

Beste burgers van eNederland,

Ik hou van mijn land. Ik sta voor mijn land. Ik ben trots op mijn land.



Ik hoop dat U allen hebt genoten van mijn vorige artikelen over Nederlandse steden, eilanden en mijn nieuwe reeks kastelen. Maar hoe passender de titel ‘My Beautiful Netherlands’, dan op dit artikel, waarin ik m’n kandidatuur voor CP bekend maak.



Onlangs ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een nieuwe uitdaging in eSuid-Afrika. Wat ik daar vooral heb geleerd is één ding: het is nergens zo als in je eigen land. Hoe klein en nietig ook - recente dreigingen van een Non Agression Pact tussen USA, Frankrijk, UK en Polen hebben ons weer duidelijk gemaakt dat eNL maar een pion is in het internationale speelveld - het zijn de mensen die het spel maken. (Zoals het ook de bevolking was van USA, UK en Frankrijk die opstonden tegen de plannen toen die bekend werden).

We moeten ons land samen opbouwen. Niet vechten tegen elkaar, maar met elkaar. En samen met onze bondgenoten. Wie niet sterk is moet slim zijn.



Daarom werk ik al lang aan goede contacten met onze naaste buren, landen waar we gedeelde belangen mee hebben, zoals natuurlijk de strijd tegen Polen. Dat was ook ‘n reden voor mij om ja te zeggen tegen ‘n functie in het eDuitse MoFA team. Maar mijn land, dat is en blijft Nederland.



Graag wil ik U vertegenwoordigen als Uw Lands president. Niet voor eigen eer en glorie, niet alleen voor mensen uit mijn eigen partij, maar ten voordele van alle burgers/soldaten van eNederland!

Dear Citizens of the eNetherlands,

I love my country. I stand for my country. I am proud of my country.



I hope you all enjoyed my previous articles over Dutch cities, islands and my latest series: castles in the Netherlands. But what could be a more appropriate title than ‘My Beautiful Netherlands’ for the article, in which I announce my candidacy for CP.



Recently I moved to eSouth-Africa to look for a new challenge. It mostly taught me one thing: there is no place like your own country. How small or tiny we may be - recent threats of a Non Agression Pact between USA, France, UK and Poland once again made clear we are but a pawn on the international stage - it are the People that make the game. (Like it were the people of USA, UK and France, who stood up against the plans when they became public).

We must build our land together. Not fight each other, but fight side by side. And together with our allies. If you are not strong, you have to be smart.



That’s why I have been building relationships with our neighbors for a long time, countries we share interests with, like of course the fight against Poland. It was one of the reasons for me to say yes to a function in the eGerman MoFA team. But my country is and will be the eNetherlands.



I would love to represent you as your Country President. Not for my own honour and prestige, not just for the people in my own party, but for the benefit of all citizens/soldiers of the eNetherlands!
