Musings of a newbie discovering new dimension

Day 862, 05:06 Published in Japan United Kingdom by suhaw

Further to my last article.

Having taken the first step to leave Singapore and venture into Japan, I am forced into thinking more intensely about what to do and examining the options before leaping.

First of all, I must state upfront that I am doing much better here in Japan than in Singapore. As a level 3 construction worker, I am paid much better than back "home". This pay has enabled me to buy better food and coupled with the fact that I have ceased to train militarily, my health has improved by leaps and bounds.

As an indication, here in Japan, I am paid about 3 JPY (0.09 Gold) daily, while in Singapore, I was also paid about 3 SGD which works out to only 0.06 Gold daily.

With my poor health, I am constantly being sacked by my Japanese employers, but still, I managed to scrape a living by working a day in the company, earning the 3 JPY before being fired each time. Then I go about buying some good food to improve my wellness so that maybe I won't be fired the next time...

Then, I discovered the websites mentioned in my last article which provides comparisons of exchange rates and the prices of various things. It sure helps research and a wonderful guide on what options are available.

If I keep getting fired and have to migrate, these tools will help narrow the search for a suitable next destination.

For example, I know that my needs now is good food and a well-paying job. The websites help identify where to buy good food cheaply. Then, I go check out the job market in those countries to find out if there are good employment prospects.

Hmmmm... I am beginning to sound a lot like a new jobseeker in the employment market.
