MSL: REACHing For New Players
SirEkim
Last week, I started talking about a new Department of Interior program that was, at the time, unnamed. Throughout the week, I have been bouncing ideas off of friends (and anyone who will listen) and have come up with the name of REACH: Recruiting Externally And Carrying Home.
Basically what REACH will do is expand our eAmerican community to social media outlets outside of eRepublik. With this organization, we will recruit new players to the eUS and grow our power greatly.
This program will communicate mainly by email; therefore, I encourage you to sign up with an email that you will check often. You don't have to use your personal, real-life email if you don't want to, but at least check the email address that you sign up with.
This program will organize our community within Digg, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and/or Youtube with the possibility to expand into other outlets.
I hereby present to you... the REACH signup form:

We should find a way to get potential new players paired with old members so we can get the extra 5g injected into the US economy.

how would pairing new players with the old make the new player want to spend his/her gold instead of save it like most do ?
@joshua the point of pairing new recruits with existing experienced players is two fol😛
First it will give the experienced player the 5 gold bonus to referring the new citizen. This is how it injects the gold into our economy.
The other advantage to this program would be that the new player would instantly have one friend here, who could provide some basic tips and tricks and pointers. While almost every bit of info you need to get started is out there to be found, and in the starter guides you can find, not every new player finds it that easily, and having the new citizens get a little bit of personal hand holding from a seasoned pro would only make them better players in the end, and thus us all stronger.
I personally think it's only fair that if the experienced players are getting the 5 gold, they should be obligated to provide some hand holding for the new citizens. Even if it's just distributing a few links and guides and pointing them where to go for more help. Just giving new players a little personal touch will do wonders.
This is a great idea. Voted, subscribed, and signing up.
