MOOve on up: Vote Kaczynski for PP of MOO

Day 1,970, 20:42 Published in Canada Canada by Yuri Kaczynski

MOO is in the midst of a reinvention - a metamorphosis. Unfortunately, we have been weighed down by a lack of members - not even a dozen at the moment. Back in the day, I was MOO's director of recruitment. Now, as the fifteenth of the month is only several dozen hours away, I'd like to set forth a proposal, utilize my skills from directing recruiting, and offer my services as MOO's party president.

MOO has been reborn with a platform which devotes half of its goals to promulgating social change. I'd like to propose a two-faceted approach that ties into these two objectives:

1) Resurrect the old recruitment program, in which we would seek out a few players per day - usually newer ones - send them a message delineating our platform, and donate to them gifts whether they joined or not. Regardless of how many new members we will introduce into our ranks with this tactic, it will at the very least spread word about our intention to, as our platform affirms, pay it forward.

2) Start a media campaign: What MOO Can Do for You. In this, each party member will be encouraged to write an article (or even a series of articles) wherein the values for which MOO campaigns are explained in the context of his or her firsthand experiences in the game. One member may write about how our "forgive and forget" tenet allowed him to gain a valuable ally, while another may pen an account of how another player paying it forward allowed her to advance in leaps and bounds.

Even if I'm not elected to the party presidency, I still hope to pursue these objectives with whomever wins the plurality. I've been in MOO for a long time - almost since its inception - and it would be a joy for me to be provided with this opportunity. Good luck to everyone else, and thanks for reading!
