MOOre of the Same
Wes Lewis
Why should we say no to "MOOre of the Same"
More of the same, this is what Rylde has promised the people of eCanada once elected to office as President of Canada. I think he officially calls it his "Smooth transition from Addy's government to his" but in all actuality he means to say, he will copy just about all policies Addy has implemented and keep the status quo. The only actual difference being the fact that he will "airstrike a nation within the NAP agreement with Spain" these are his own words, not mine. We can discuss this a bit later in the article but first, what would more of the same mean?
This month has been entertaining to some degree, nothing comparable to the DMV/Acacia soap opera but that is life. Even so, the entertainment we have had is not because of anything the government has done, if anybody is responsible we should give these high marks to DMV3 or Manhattan for making things more interesting. Aside from a couple articles from Addy letting us know for the thousandth time he is our Daddy we have had almost no advances in eCanadian society. Instead we have issued self-damaging embargoes, played Admin with political parties, and pretended taxes will create a booming eCanadian society.
It is my opinion that Addy has gave almost no effort to engage the people and keep things interesting instead sticking to closed door executive decisions his "calculations" predict will be more successful. While anyone that has been around will tell you that is just his style of leadership, he prefers to tell people what is good for them, instead of asking some people feel this is beneficial. Being CP, especially in a small nation like Canada is almost impossible to come out of with a "successful term" signs will show Addy barely attempted to give effort. I may be alone in this train of thought simply because the man on the top, Addy strategically maintains his popularity, always has by his "projects" afterwards.
Addy always was the pretty cheerleader everybody worshiped when we was in high school
So why eCanada would we accept more of the same as a successful slogan to mount your campaign on? This isn't Venezuela and Addy isn't Hugo Chavez. That said, lets look at the biggest proponents of the term in a bit more simplistic details.
1) The idea of an eCanadian "tax haven".
People have been arguing that we can develop a tax haven that will balloon our population and strengthen our military might by simply changing taxes around. While a good concept it is simply a fallacious argument that this is possible, this is apparent by the continued decline in our population since Addy reformed the tax code. I ask everyone to take time to comprehend this concept a bit better to understand how far fetched this booming scenario is here in Canada.
First we must appreciate the fact it nobody has successfully done this before, regardless what Congress argues nobody cares about the difference between 1-5% tax rates paid on a 20 CC wage not even the employee. Then you have business owners which the tax doesn't effect anyways because due to harsh market conditions have other tactics like hoarding stock for price inflation, zombie workers at low wages, etc. to generate their profits. So no eCanada I hate to tell you, but unless DMV3 is allowed to create his "MU Welfare state" we won't be seeing this achieved.
2) Our well planned 10 MPPs.
This one explains itself, will we are lucky to afford 10 MPPs, I personally believe people take the wrong look at invasion threats and requiring this many MPPs to "protect" us and "assist" our alliance. Also we must consider eCanada spent 8 months wiped (thanks to Rylde's last administration to some degree) so people understandably don't want it to happen again, this I understand. But in reality it just a temporary hold of our regions by somebody else we don't actually have long-term repercussions except to our pride.
Even so, people need to consider the fact we are not a very attractive target for invasions to begin with, and our borders are all already occupied. So, except to appease their own populations for war, there really is no reason to fight against us over anybody else. Point of all this is, we are overly cautious about being wiped again when we are already using an agreement with Spain to prevent this from occurring again, not ten MPPs. Lastly the argument that they keep battles rolling for us is invalid, because if you've logged in lately you'll notice Indonesia has been the only battles available and sometimes none at all.
3) Rylde and his airstrike
Everybody loves a good war that is the truest statement you can say about the game of eRepublik. But airstrikes are a whole different category of warfare and unless planned very carefully can be disastrous in terms of expenses and time spent. Contrary to this truth, Rylde gives you the impression that it is very easily achievable to airstrike somebody and enslave their territories, when in reality it is very difficult even for larger nations at times.
The terms of an Airstrike are simple you build up enough energy and CC you can launch ONE battle not effected by borders anywhere in the world. However, if you fail to win that battle or even if you win the battle and lose the territory shortly after, you have just wasted all those resources. Which currently Canada requires 116,667 CC and 7,883,500 units of energy or a massive bill of at the very least 2,000 gold! Seems like a lot to gamble on a pointless conflict that Rylde wants to start for his own entertainment and reputation.
If you'd like Canada I'll burn your money for you, don't need Rylde to handle that
In closing, Rylde and Addy have been around the block probably even in the top 1% of oldest citizens alive. They know how to make things sound to get the reaction they want out of people, but in reality it is all hot air. I'll leave you with one statement, I strongly believe DMV3 and Oinyo will give you better terms and positive changes then Rylddy and their status quo.
With love,

It is at this point in my return, people wish I would leave.
o7
leave?
But I was just getting to know you...and solving the mystery of that peanut-buttery aroma.
Dunno about you, but the Addy-Rylde combo seems to be a great Yin-Yang balance of stability-chaos or balanced books vs burn the ledgers.
Salt-and-Pepper is the secret to any Greypower agenda.

Why would we want you to leave? You are very eCanadian!
@ Wilfie;
You nailed it, Rylde and I are like Yin and Yang, Felix and Oscar, Fire and Water, Chess and Checkers, Beer and Liquor
Statler and Waldorf?
Lemon and Mathau?
I'm not sure which of the pairs is most apt but it's been interesting to see how opposites have attracted to balance things out in eCanada. Things were going a little too far in one direction with DMV (ie. not eCanadian enough of a direction in some people's view), then things began to flatten out with Addy, now we're set for a rollercoaster ride in November.
The graph has been trending upward since August, so about time for a small correction, right?
They are opposites this is correct, however Rylde doesn't care in the slightest of other people's opinions when it comes to decision making. This is most evident by his opposition to some reform Addy was making earlier this term which he posted an article about. If he likes it he does it if he doesn't he lets you know. No debating the issues.
excuse me but its DR. Manhattan, like hello 😃
"...we have had almost no advances in eCanadian society."
I completely disagree. For the first time in eCan's existence we have rented regions to another nation, and we've done it twice. We have assured two nations of a congress when they had little hope of one. Singlehandedly, we have done a significant service to another nation that their alliances could not provide, and we did it twice.
"It is my opinion that Addy has gave almost no effort to engage the people and keep things interesting instead sticking to closed door executive decisions his "calculations" predict will be more successful. "
I completely disagree. I did not use the Executive Branch of the eCan forum at all this term, not a single post, and other than the post in CDC that was leaked I didn't post anything in CDC. This is far and away the most candid and transparent term in office that I've had in my five terms as CP. There was no closed door at all.
"While anyone that has been around will tell you that is just his style of leadership, he prefers to tell people what is good for them, instead of asking some people feel this is beneficial."
I agree with this, and that is why I should not be a CP for multiple terms in succession. I think that countries need different types of leaders for different types of situations. I think these people who have "been around" got it right. I will say that I don't profess to know what is good for all situations but I will say that for a demographic of situations I do know what is best and sometimes people need to be pushed into that direction. The best salesman gets the customer to make the decision the salesman wants the customer to make while making the customer believe they have made the decision themselves. Probably an uncomfortable thought for most people but the brutal truth.
"this is apparent by the continued decline in our population since Addy reformed the tax code"
Sorry to burst your bubble, this is DMV's tax code.
That doesn't burst my bubble at all, DMV3 wanted to do this simply to provide imagery to his character that he wants to save the people money.
You do act behind closed doors because you are the only one that is required to approve of a plan in your mind before you attempt to implement it.
Lastly those are decent feats regarding the rentals however, I and most anyone will agree you opting for such a low rental fee provides little benefits. I wrote an article approving the "rentals" strictly in concept not in individual terms, if it wasn't for the fact those regions are useless it would have been more negative then positive.
If they were of economic use or game mechanic use then the price would have been affected, if they would have been rented at all.
The rent is what eSwiss and eNL can afford, would you see them wiped perpetually due to an affordability issue?
It isn't exactly my concern, however I alone could afford to pay both of their rents and I am not even rich by any means.
"Then you have business owners which the tax doesn't effect anyways because due to harsh market conditions have other tactics like hoarding stock for price inflation, zombie workers at low wages, etc. to generate their profits"
Do you understand the mechanics of the Worker Tax?
Yes and between 1-5% nobody cares people pinching pennies like that are very new citizens and they should be supplemented by other citizens. This is how it works globally we aren't an exception.
"we are overly cautious about being wiped again when we are already using an agreement with Spain to prevent this from occurring again, not ten MPPs"
We need MPPs to provide battles to fight in and we need MPPs to build relationships with our allies. We don't sign MPPs to prevent a wipe, we sign MPPs to build a community and provide a means to rank up our players.
Well you failed because we have no battles.
Are you kidding me? We had two wars, one with eNL and another with eSwiss.
Which had nothing to do with MPPs?
...but what about the CoT priorities we supported?
I kinda doubt you coordinated MUs directly to fight in these priorities and I don't remember any COs being posted either. Even if you really did I don't see any rewards for the alliance coming from doing so, still getting pounded by TWO.
You are right, klop did, he's the MoD.
We are in month two of a three month trial, you'll see the rewards next month if eCan is accepted into CoT.
As for getting pounded by TWO, even Romper as CP wouldn't prevent that.
So assuming klop did then, we (TCO) fought for Indonesia for just about your entire term? They are almost wiped, so again not much support for the 10 MPPs.
"Contrary to this truth, Rylde gives you the impression that it is very easily achievable to airstrike somebody and enslave their territories, when in reality it is very difficult even for larger nations at times."
The nut of the matter is coming up with a meaningful reason to air strike another country who isn't in TWO. An air strike is easy once you have a target, for eCan, determining the target is the tough part.
We haven't won a battle without appeasing the other side in months, unless you attack a rank 60ish country with no friends, it won't be easy. Good luck finding a good one for that...
I was really hoping that eIndia would get on the map. They are neutral and I have an axe to grind with them. Unfortunately, they have some big name allies in TWO.
Other than that, the possibilities are very limited.
Thank you for admitting that
TWO are bored, we'll happily block your AS for the lulz...
Okay, now that Addy has provided the rational rebuttal, cue Rylde for the Saturday night beer-n-Oilers fueled diatribe.
Salt-n-Pepper combo complete. ; )
V!!!! give me compliments http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130531222219/horadeaventura/es/images/b/b9/Tumblr_m8g29jd6T91rsmvlw-2-.gif
You are British the most superior race on earth baby ❤

Wes low taxes have increased active daily citizens and eCanadian damage doubled since we started our low tax rate push. If we had an executive that actually tried recruiting new citizens we'd see more growth.
Hell no it hasn't you are the king of bullshitting activity has FALLEN and the only reason damage has increased is because a few tanks have joined MUs here, nothing to do with taxes.
I am sure that doubling the energy recovery rate for two weeks straight had no impact on damage output either 😉
With the fall of Indo, we won't be fighting in MPP battles anymore.
Of course an Airstrike isn't easy. You put work and planning into what you want. I know this is nothing more than a defaming article attempt on behalf of your guy with hundreds of idea's and plans that end up overloading his brain and nothing gets done.
Be nice if CP candidates got off there asses to cut down other candidates platforms themselves like real politicians. Call me when there balls drops and they want a debate.
I always get things done Rylde whatcha talkin bout, this had proper effects 🙂
Wow. You Canucks speak awful pretty.
Wes is Brit.
I know. I meant everyone that has spoken in the comments. Proper grammar and a showing of actually understanding the meanings of the words that you use. It is refreshing to see. That is all. ALL HAIL eUK!!! ALL HAIL TWO!!!
I just noticed Rylde's grammar.
Wes Lewis for eCanada CP...
