MONTANA - RE-ELECT LENORE ROSBOROUGH

Day 576, 20:18 Published in USA USA by Lenore Rosborough

Today, I am proud to announce my candidacy for re-election to Congress as the representative for the great State of Montana. I hope you will take a look at my voting record. Ask any questions you may have. My platform has not changed much from my original platform one month ago; however, my focus may have narrowe😛 without a healthy, involved, and educated citizen base, not much else matters.

TAXATION: My stance on taxation has not changed. I do not believe in regressive taxes and will strive to keep the VAT low on food, perhaps even reduce it to zero eventually. Taxation of food is the most regressive of all taxes, forcing the poorest citizens to bear a much higher burden than our wealthier citizens. I think regressive taxation is bad policy and I will vote against any regressive taxes. We need to be doing more to help our poorest citizens not putting a larger burden on them. Income taxes are relatively high, but our country is stronger everyday. Our current tax revenues fund a strong military and many of the programs which benefit our newer citizens. I did not support our unilateral lowering of import taxes of all raw materials. I did not think there was a clearly defined goal for such a drastic measure. I did support the lowering of the import tax on moving tickets. Moving ticket prices skyrocket during times of extremely high demand. Our domestic producers have not been able to adequately fulfill the demand at this time. The stated goal of this tax reduction was to allow foreign companies to export to the eUSA to increase the supply of moving tickets. I would like to see what the market does during the period of high demand corresponding with election day on the 25th before we give up on this tax change.

MILITARY: A strong military leads to a stronger country. I strongly support the war games as a means for all of our citizens to grow in strength, experience and keep higher wellness. This, in turn, promotes higher domestic productivity. We need a strong, healthy citizenry to defend our country and our allies should the need arise. I also support the current funding levels of the military and the restoration of Army funding.

SOCIAL WELFARE: A month ago, I believed the average eUSA citizen level was below the eWorld average. We have made great strides in this regard, but the war games alone cannot bring up this average. I support all programs public and private which help keep our citizens active through the difficult early weeks of existence. I was helped by a private organization in my first couple of weeks here, which inspired me to continue that spirit of lending a helping hand to those who followed behind me. This side of the game kept me engaged and active before I was able to get formally involved in political activities. The more we go out and "talk" to our fellow citizens, the more likely they are to go out and do the same. I have joined the Mentor Program, as a mentor to several citizens and I regularly donate to the Welcoming Committee. I frequently seek out lost and confused citizens who have not found our betterment programs and try to help get them back on track.

FOREIGN POLICY: I have learned a lot in the past month about foreign policy, but it still remains my weakest area. I have concentrated on internal affairs much more than foreign affairs. I do, however, read the news daily and will use my best judgment, in consultation with those who I trust to properly represent the best interests of citizens of eMontana and eUSA.

I believe in transparent government. I pledge to continue posting my voting record on every matter before Congress. I want as much participation as possible within my constituency--send me messages, ask me questions, make comments in my newspaper. I even set up a Montana thread over on the eUSA forums: http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,5067.0.html Let me know what you think, and I will take your thoughts into account as I vote and debate.

I will continue to do my best to promote our great state and nation in every vote. Finally, I will do everything I can to keep the fun in the game for everyone!

Don't forget to vote on June 25th. I ask you to vote for me.

I am a proud member of the USWP!
