Money For Nothing

Money For Nothing

We are an egalitarian Democratic Republic. We are all free and we are all equal. That is our birthrights as Americans. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that assume too much under these pretenses. Freedom and equality does not mean you have the right to that which your neighbor and fellow free citizen owns.

You never earned that 200k a year salary working 10 hour days five days a week and therefore do not have the right to any cent of his money, including through the government. That certainly would not be right under any sane system of government.

Think about if someone had this hot, sizzlin' babe for a girl:

On top of her looks, she wasn't that bad of a person either. Then someone comes along and tells you that you have to share her because someone else doesn't have as hot of a babe for a girl as you did. That would be downright despicable.

However, I am here to tell you of a way that you too can earn that 200k and even keep your hot babe. It's actually quite simple. It's called hard work and dedication. All you need to do is put a little bit of effort in to the things you do; work, life, family, etc.. And no the system is not that rigged against you.

"Nothing in this world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty."

Yes, there are a lot of corrupt and greedy people out there that would love to keep you down, but I guarantee you that for every one of those people there is someone that climbed that ladder to the top. And I can also guarantee you that they didn't ask for a handout. The system is not rigged against you. You are rigging the system against yourself.

"To sit home, read one's favorite paper, and scoff at the misdeeds of the men who do things is easy, but it is markedly ineffective. It is what evil men count upon the good men's doing."

As the saying above says, that is what the greedy and corrupt expect you to do.

A new system for golden rewards

That being said I think there is room for another program to be enacted in this great enation. One that doesn't rely solely upon the giving of free items. I do applaud those programs because they do seem to work even though I, as a new player myself, have never used them before. But I think this needs to be the time to not only encourage players to be around, but to also be active.

I am talking about gold and creating a program that will allow players to work and achieve gold through the government by performing certain actions. Gold is the most sought after item in this game for the new players. And for most, taking out the credit card is not a viable option. As it stands it seems, at most, new players are given an easy 30 gold, and that's a generous number. 20 for leveling, because up to 20 you level up quite quickly and then some extra gold for the first achievements and missions.

When asking a veteran player, they will tell you to save your gold for training center upgrades. Strength is where the damage yield lies in battle and unless you have it don't even bother in battle. To upgrade all training centers it costs 680 gold(correct me if I am wrong). That is certainly a stretch from the 20-30 gold you receive from the start and can seem like an eternity when trying to earn the rest.

Not only training centers require gold, but so does creating a newspaper, which costs 40 gold. There goes all the beginning gold and then the little bit extra you worked so hard to earn and say good bye to upgrading your training centers for a bit as well.

Not to mention that soon enough there more than likely be training centers for perception and not many know how much that will cost.

There has to be a way to aid the struggling new players with their gold deficits. There could be a lot of amazing players who would have stayed a part of this game had they had a chance to earn the gold they needed. And that's why I think it would be a great idea to initiate a program for just this.

I know there has been a program like this in the past, and might I mention is hard to fine, but I believe there is a better version. The gold should be handed out based on merit, not need. For example, someone creates a newspaper and begins writing some good articles, not just 'gib mi 25 comen plz', tank u, and the government can help refund that gold to encourage them to keep writing the material or to even start up the newspaper in the first place.

Or perhaps a player has done as much damage as they possibly could with the food and weapons they get from the free programs the government provides. They provide the screen shot of it, showing their hard work and dedication and some gold is sent their way to help pay for their next training center.

I am now a part of a congress and I would really like to see a program like this enacted. It's one that, with what very little gold I do have, would be personally willing to donate for it to help and I know others that would be too. Alongside my party president, Henry, I intend to start something similar in our party.

Now, I would love to hear those voices out there in the eUSA and their opinions on this matter. Should this be done? How would you improve it? What should the achievements be and how much gold should be awarded?

And remember:
"A soft, easy life is not worth living, if it impairs the fibre of brain and heart and muscle. We must dare to be great; and we must realize that greatness is the fruit of toil and sacrifice and high courage... For us is the life of action, of strenuous performance of duty; let us live in the harness, striving mightily; let us rather run the risk of wearing out than rusting out."
