Monetary Market - 9th to 10th of March
Toothpaste
Stomp, stomp. Here comes some fun statistics over the happenings on the monetary market during the weekend. Please note that the time is set in viking time, thats like GMT+1 or something. Or hour 1 in the game to hour 16.
The monetary market is awesome. I frankly love it. It is like the Stock Market really. You buy low, sell high. 1000 cc made with 2 clicks. And on the Stock Market, the guy with statistics in his hand is the king. Well, almost. You need to make crazy assumptions too, like:
1) is the best time to buy gold around 17:00?
2) is the MM flat on Sunday cuz everybody is online during that day?
3) when Americans wake up, do they have any impact on the monetary market?
4) is there any substantial difference between Monday to Thursday compared to the weekends number?
I cant answer that. But you can.
Speculations starts in the comments.

Would be interesting to test the MM for recurrent daily or weekly fluctuations statistically! Did you map the price hourly for three consecutive days btw? Thats alot of work 🙂
If we get the data, perhaps Volcker could aid us with an analysis, but you would need alooot of data to get really valid results...
It is nice but i feel that some hours are missed in the graphic, isnt it? (from 1:00 to 10:00 Viking Time)
@Styvfar
Yes, the data is collected hourly.
@Isidoro Termagante
Vikings have no need for data between 1:00 and 10:00. We sleep. And we dont want to aid them Americans, do we? But oh well, next time I start posting from 7:00 to 01:00 maybe. We'll see 🙂
Viking need to sleep? bleh 😛
I mean that highest/lowest price could be at those lost hours so all your work could be wrong and make you loose money because your forecasting didnt counted on it
I don't get it though, how are you able to sell your currency? I had my offer up since the change and I haven't sold anything.
Our own little "Walstreet Guy" 🙂
@paintball you can direct buy/seel with minor (but still some) margins between the highest and lowest, for example on saturday the highest was 1670 and lowest 1600 so with 10g you could have won 700 (if everything is perfect XD)
@Isidoro Termagante
Of course vikings needs some sleep. How do you think that we can stay that beautiful?
@paintballforfun
I think you are doing it wrong. What we do is to buy gold, and then sell gold. Nobody trades country currency.
@kevkeve
That would be me xD
Voted from eUSA. That's right, we're watching you. 😃

Toothpaste, I have also monitored the gold price and as far as I can tell, it's been pretty much flat at ~1640 for quite some time now. Not much fluctuation in the going rate for gold since the weekend. Can it perhaps be that the market is beginning to near the "max" price?
It wouldn't surprise me to see a new sale trick from admins the coming friday, making people spend as much as possible next weekend. So I'm thinking that it could be a good idea to sit tight right now and buy gold, even despite the horrible exchange ratio. On the other hand, since I'm in need of cc myself, I'm selling. Whatever floats your boat, I guess, as long as you put our money to use.
