Misconceptions and Their Rebuttals
zblewski
I have been very occupied lately, a series of depressing events has kept me from at least appearing active. I have been here, replying to PMs, as well as reviewing events, doing my congressional duties (I have yet to miss a vote), and so on, but personal issues grabbed me by the collar.
So, we have a competition here. Yup, a competition. And part of it depends on misconceptions made by some. Why don;t we clear those up.
I am not sure if CSD wants to continue unity government (where everyone's ideas are in power not just one party)...
We are opposed to the coalition. Once this election ends, I hope that this is the end of it. I'm sure most of you think that's a relief, and tat is, seeing that we did not have a clear leader in the last month, seeing the elected leader ignored duty, and te coalition was a bit of a mess, and I agree that the whole thing needs to end, now.
...zblewski is just playing around I have seen nothing from him at all...
I'm low-key. So, mix that with actual out-of-game issues, and of course you haven't seen anything from me. That is one of the humps for me to overcome if elected. I hold a minimal spotlight, and that spotlight must be stepped up. So, let me tell you what I've been doing.
I finally stepped out of the "employee" part of my working career, and I have bought C&C Iron, now INCO Limited. I am writing up my application for license funding right after this article, because I have been talking to ArtUrban since he needs an Iron exporter. Another is that I am going to be re-organizing things with my party, and we have been having some fair debate over our platform. We are setting up a shadow cabinet to encourage activity over there, begun the planning phase of an international political partnership program (details to follow in the coming days), and finalizing our proposals to congress.
I WILL be hammering these proposals out once the election ends. These things are: the assignment of senators to serve on a Communications Committee specifically made to pass important information directly to those who need it, and the assignment of senators to a Constitutional Reform Committee, which has the specific job of weeding out outdated beta legislation and providing the whole of congress with fitting replacements.
Zblewski I hate to say but it doesn't seem like he has the experience which, is why in a way the triumvirate was created in the first place.
7 months of leadership (handling sensitive military documents, being in charge of updating the member base list of a 250 member alliance every 3 days, and being in charge of attracting new players to an alliance with flashy displays and promotions) experience on highly related games doesn't count? What about the fact I wrote a 3000-word essay (excerpts included on my CSD campaign speeches) on eRepublik policy, which I'm sure no other attempt has been made to do in this country?
Comments
3000 words isn't a lot...it's a small amount compared to past and current platforms
As for your leadership...leadership isn't shown by having stamps or badges. It's shown through example...you think you've got it prove it.
Yeah zblewski, if you can't spew 5000 word posts every other day, you aren't fit to be leader of eCanada. We only want rude, insulting spammers running this country! It helps if most of your claims are pulled out of a goat's hairy arse too!
Excuse me, Riashain?
I think content is MUCH more important than quantity. I've been surpassed (number of posts) by people who've signed up on the forums after I did, and I don't mind it one bit.
@Zblewski: Riashain is dising Dean22 or having a nervous breakdown lol. Just look at all those very long, badly research, full of selected statement, out of context, misinterperated article Dean22 write. For every one good article he writes we have to deal with 2 or 3 of those nonesense article of his where we are all evil and puppet masters or up to no good.
@Dean22, when you take the time to think before speaking you are sometime brillient, sadly you tend to just speak and then later think about what exactly you actually said. If you would take the time to do this you could seriously become a great leaders, I hope you can overcome this flaw in the future.
Well good luck Zblewski, I know you work hard and are just a behind the scenes type of guy
Yes, I was being incredibly sarcastic and suggesting you should be more like a certain member of your competition. Obviously everyone wants this. Who wouldn't?
I know what you mean about low-key, but that isn't exactly the makings of a good Prime Minister.
I'll try to explain.
I'm low-key as well, but I can write good speeches, if I have proper enthusiam and interest. These are the makings of a good public servant, rather than a public leader. I would therefore not be the best leader, unless interested by a certain issue or problem (e.g. war). Heck, I wouldn't vote for me.
I believe that you have the ability to make yourself heard, and be the leader of our country. But until I see long speeches that make me feel... patriotic, I have to say that I'd rather see someone who makes speeches more often.
When it comes to being a Prime Minister, you CANNOT be behind-the-scenes. You are on stage, and you must not shy away from the crowd.
I'd have rather have quiet and productive than Dean22.
Riashain: My thoughts exactly (on both occasions) 😉
Michel: I agree. Dean, you have promise, but it's unfulfilled because it seems you are intent of typing the most words in the history of eRepublik.
Banach: Derick Braham was a "low key" President. Augustus said "behind the scenes", which you used, but I think "low key" is a better description.
As former President, I can say that MOST work, even for outgoing types like myself, Adam Sutler & Banach, IS behind-the-scenes anyway!
Zblewski: I've got supreme faith in you kid. I'll be on hand whenever you need me to assist you in your 1st term 😃
