Ministry of Trade - Back on Track

Day 460, 21:18 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ministry of Trade

So, we now have a legal PM which can sign my...well...you know.

So we're back on track. I'll be catching up for the next few days. I have three loans approved by Commons already, which should be/hopefully be done in the next two days. They are for Ottogustavo, Certacito, and another member who I'll announce if he's still interested. Once I get the go ahead from them to continue, we'll sign our contracts and they can open their doors, so to speak, on businesses in the eUK.

Now, moving on.

We had the Berlin Pact, which Commons passed this past week. Unfortunately, DKN, who was the Minister of Economy in Germany has gone AWOL and I am now in discussions with Isy regarding it's stance. It still looks good, and I think it will pass.

I would recommend the following industries for Germany, to start with:

1. Oil - Oil should be a large need for Germany at the moment, expressed by Isy himself.
2. Iron or Wood - While these are solid needs for us as well (and Diamonds, but we cannot produce those), they can also use them if you can find the excess to spare.
3. High quality, non-Weapons goods. They have Weapons and Food in Q5, according to Isy, so saturating it will hurt this opportunity. Other high quality things such as housing, gifts, moving tickets, or Hospitals/DS systems may be available for sale.*

*I would recommend anyone selling DS/Hospitals to contact someone in the Government directly, BEFORE buying the license.

Money Market Exchange

With this accord, I am hoping to solidify currency to currency trade to keep both countries Gold Reserves and Money Markets stable. I am proposing (initially) a 1.50 DEM to 1 GBP (which is a fairly accurate listing over the last week of trade on the MM compared to actual rates). If Isy accepts, I am hoping to trade across the board to GM's who register in this program. If memory serves, there are actually companies in the UK who have exports to Germany from the last time Germany existed. It would only be wise to take advantage of this.

In the next few days, I hope to speak with someone in Australia to see how far the Kangaroo Treaty made it as well, and hopefully begin trade. I do not expect us to export to Australia on much of any scale, but I expect it to bring lots in considering Australia's high regions for RM's (specifically diamonds).

Cheers
