Ministry of Community - Updates, Ways to Win, Awards and a Winner!

Day 673, 18:13 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

So firstly here are the nominees in each category for the Irish Community Awards. These nominees were selected by being tied with each other for the highest number of votes in their respective categories, based on the votes recieved in the first round. In categories where a lone citizen garnered the highest number of votes they are already determined as the winner. I did not vote myself, none of these choices were my own (though some would have been lol).

Please vote only for ONE of the people in each category, and only for one of the named people. Votes for alternatives will not be considered now the first round of voting has closed.

Votes should be made via PM to this org or via comment on this article.

This round of voting closes at 00.01 eRep time on Wednesday 29th September (08.01 GMT), winners will be announced on the evening of Friday 1st October, all being well.

The winner of the article writing competiiton is Niall H! The 2 gold is already on the way, Niall, and let me know when you're ready for the Q3 Weapon!

You can read the winning article here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/why-you-should-join-eireland-945265/1/all It is intended to be used in official official advertising, though the financial situation may delay the use.

Ticket buying closes at noon eRepublik time this Thursday (8pm GMT) and the draw will be made soon after, once I've verified the entrants for the last time. So far about 12 tickets have been sold - as for this week only the jackpot is guarenteed at 100 IEP I'll admit that's a little disappointing but it does mean that those 12 tix have a greater chance of winning at least something.

And just a quick reminder that there is only one day left to buy your eIrish Lottery Tickets for this inaugural draw. Tickets are 5iep each and details of how to buy them and how the prizefund will be divided can be found in this article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/the-irish-community-189477/1

Additionally, as there have been fairly few entrants, I will next week be reducing the number range from 1-100 to 1-50 to increase the chances of there being an outright winner.

The Irish State Community Fund (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/weapon-winners-and-introducing-two-new-initiatives-943603/1/20) has gotten off to a very good start with many eIrish donating their foreign currency (and that of their orgs!) and small change to this joint account for the eIrish citizens. So far we have 17.49 IEP and 3.4 gold as well as small amounts of very many currencies.

If you have a little money you can spare please consider donating it to that org. Once a decent amount is present there the nation will decide how it's spent - given away as gifts, a new hospital/defence system - it's entirely up to the people of eIreland!

That's it for now. As you can see I've had myself a very busy few days! Lol.

Please vote this article up and subscribe if you haven't already.

And, if you're feeling really generous, please give it a shout so your eIrish friends don't miss out on all the goings on. There will be at least one more competition here before my time is up (which I can't believe is less than two weeks away). I'm still debating what the prize may be, and there's a few ideas for what it might entail. I'm hoping to launch that on Monday, exactly a week before my last day in the Ministry.

Yours in service,
