Mobile Infantry Spotlight

Mommafox

Cbowmom87 AKA Mommafox is a veteran of the Mobile Infantry. She is characterized by her consistent upbeat attitude and constant willingness to help others. A specialist in the Army in her real life: working on helicopters and a talented artist she is naturally skilled with her hands. Modest about most things, she will brag about her skills as a great listener.

I had fun with this interview; she had a lot to say about the MI and all her friends here, so let’s get to the questions!

Q: When and why did you join the Mobile Infantry?

A: I started eRep back in September 2009, but got bored of the civilian life quickly, I wanted to join a military unit. I eventually joined the Training Corps and after a few tests and reading some manuals I decided to apply to the Mobile infantry, because I liked the way they sounded. December of the same year I became a member of the MI.

Q. What is your role in the infantry?

A: I'm the Sergeant of Alpha 1, I handle some of the paperwork in running the platoon for Lieutenant BMai, and serve as a mediator between him and our troopers.

Q: What has kept you in the MI for such a long time?

A: The people, no doubt. The game itself isn’t exciting; the community in the MI is what keeps me coming back. You'd have a hard time finding a zanier, crazier, bunch of wisecracks anywhere this side of the Internet! I mean, it's hard to argue with the amount of fun we have.

Q: If you could pick one person that influenced your time here the most, who would it be?

A: He's not here anymore, but it would have to be Jack Q Mehoffer. I modeled my leadership style after his. He used to do "daily briefings" which he'd send out to his platoon every morning. He posted in the platoon thread all the time, what he did actually helped increase activity a little and help keep people interested and having fun.
I would read his briefings every morning on his platoon thread, and as soon as I got my first platoon, I started sending briefings out based loosely on his. Some of my troops told me later that they actually looked forward to my early morning ramblings, so it was a nice confirmation that I'd picked a good role model. I'm sad he's gone.

Q: The most important question! What is your favorite kind of pie?

A: Strawberry cheesecake and apple pie are tied. Cheesecake is a kind of pie; it has a crust.

That was my interview with the Mobile Infantry’s one and only Mommafox! Thanks for reading and I hope to see you next time!

If your strength is at least 500 and your battlefield rank is Lieutenant or higher (or you can do at least 85 influence per fight barehanded) ...and if you like pie as much as we do, you too could be a member of the Mobile Infantry!!!

Not strong enough for the MI yet or have no experience with a military group?
Then join the eUS Training Corps!
